PGIMER Chandigarh has announced the result for the BSc (Hons.) Nursing 2020 and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing 2020 on August 4, 2020. The result was published online on August 5, 2020. The national level entrance exam, PGIMER BSc Nursing 2020, was held on July 28, 2020. The PGIMER BSc Nursing 2020 result is available on the official website of PGIMER Chandigarh and is prepared in the form of merit list on the basis of the categories of the candidates. On the basis of performance of the candidates, PGIMER will now invite the candidates whose name is in the merit list for the PGIMER BSc Nursing 2020 counselling on August 10, 2020. The merit list is provisional and is subjected to scrutiny/verification of documents.

PGIMER BSc Nursing 2020 result is now available on the official website of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh in a downloadable PDF format. The result is in the in the form of merit list and candidates have to search their result by means of their name or the roll number as the result will be present in single PDF list having names of all the shortlisted candidates. There will be two merit lists, one will be prepared category-wise and other on the basis of the merit of the candidate. Tie-Breaking Criteria for PGIMER BSc Nursing Result 2020

The PGIMER BSc Nursing 2020 result may have few tie situations as well. A Tie situation is observed when two or more than two candidates scores equal number of marks in the entrance exam. In order to award the fair ranking to deserving candidates, the Tie-Breaking method is used. The PGIMER has set a criterion of Tie-breaking:

  • Candidate who had appeared in more attempts in passing the qualifying exam (Class 12) or the PGIMER BSc Nursing entrance, will be given higher order of preference
  • If the tie is still not resolved, then the candidate with higher marks in the PGIMER entrance examination will be give the benefit
  • If the tie still persist, then the age of the candidate will be taken into consideration. Candidate who is older in age will be given the preference

Hi.

Yes  admissions are merit-based, but the merit is defined by the entrance test performance (INI-CET) rather than college grades or aggregate marks alone.

You must qualify and rank well in INI-CET to be competitive for PGIMER seats.

No, if you have participated in the PGIMER nursing Round 1 counselling, you will not be able to participate in round-2 counselling. Only those candidates will be able to carry forward the counselling process who did not wish to accept the seat offered in round-1.
