Candidates who had given the JAM 2026 examination and wish to get enrolled in the NITs, CFTIs, and IEST institutes need to register for the CCMN application cum counselling process. Students who will appear for IIT JAM 2026 can also apply for admissions to the CCMN participating institutes by filling out the CCMN registration form 2026.
The CCMN 2026 official notification is expected in the second week of May 2026 tentatively. CCMN 2026 Major Events
The major events of CCMN 2026 counselling can be categorised as follows:
Candidates have to apply online by filling in required details and paying registration fee. Upon successful registration they will receive login credentials and have to log in to CCMN 2026 website and do choice filling option.
Based on candidate choices and their scores and ranks in JAM, Seat Allotment Orders will be released by exam authorities. Candidates will have to lock allotted seat by uploading documents and pay application fee. In case they are not satisfied with allotted seats they may opt for Change in Willingness or Withdrawal.
Institutes participating in CCMN 2026 will verify candidate documents. If any discrepancy is found students will be contacted for clarification. They need to answer queries online on CCMN portal.
Number of counselling stages will depend on how many seats remain vacant. There will likely be 3 online counselling rounds and 2 special counselling rounds
After seats are allotted to candidate they need to complete admission formalities. They should go institute for payment of remaining admission fees and physical document verification.

For the General, General-EWS and OBC category candidates is is INR 3,500 and that for the reserved category candidates it is INR 3,000.
No, You cannot. If any candidate does not respond to the query of document verifying officer, their allotment shall stand cancelled. The resulting vacancy will be allotted to another eligible candidate in the subsequent round (s).
