CUET application form 2026 will be released in first week of March 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates seeking admission to UG courses of top universities must register for exam before the last date. NTA will release the CUET form 2026 in online mode only. Aspirants must check the CUET 2026 eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The CUET fees 2026 vary according to category, number of subjects opted for, and exam city.  

Candidates will be able to select upto five CUET subjects. Candidates must opt for the subjects that align with the class 12th subjects and course criteria. This year it is expected that candidates will not be given the choice to add exam cities. Instead, NTA will allot exam cities based on the address entered by the candidate in CUET registration 2026 form. CUET UG 2026 will be held tentatively in May/June 2026The CUET exam is conducted in CBT mode. It is held in 37 states and UTs in India and 24 countries outside India. The official NTA CUET notification 2026 will be released online.

Q:   How many subjects can a candidate choose in CUET UG while filling the application form?
A: 

The numbers for choosing CUET subjects is five out of the 37 options available. 

Section 1A- (13 languages) Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu.

Q:   Is CUET exam registration open?

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 registration will commence in first week of March at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2026 notification in first week of March 2026. Soon after the release of the notification, the CUET registration 2026 process begins online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2026 exam must ensure that complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling out the application form, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria to apply and appear for CUET UG. NTA prescribes the eligibility parameters below:

Academic Qualification

  • Students should have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science or a relevant stream to be admitted to bachelor’s degree programmes in the Central Universities.

  • Students in Class 12 who are yet to appear for the Board exam are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit

  • There is no age limit for appearing in the CUET UG 2026 exam.

Q:   Who can avail the scribe facility for CUET UG?
A: 

PwD candidates who are visually impaired or have disability in the upper limb or have lost hands/fingers which prevents them from operating the CUET UG computer based test will be able to avail the scribe facility.

Such candidates can take the help of scribe for reading the questions or keying the answers as per the direction of candidate. The scribe will not be allowed to explain or suggest the answer. To avail the service of scribe, PwD candidates must opt for it while filling the CUET 2026 application form.  The scribe will be provided by CUET 2026 conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) only.

Q:   What is programme specific eligibility criteria in CUET?
A: 

For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2026 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance, if a candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :

Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy/Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1

Candidates are advised to check CUET programme-specific eligibility criteria before filling the application form, failing which they will not qualify for further admission process.

Q:   What special facilities are provided to PwD candidates to appear for CUET exam?

As per the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment guidelines, PwD candidates will be provided with following facilities:

  1. Scribe facility: In case the candidate has physical limitation and required a scribe for writing the exam, he/she must be certified in the format provided by CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
  2. Compensatory time: PwD candidates will get extra time of one hour whether such candidates use scribe facilities or not.

How to Fill CUET UG Application Form 2026?

To begin with the registration process, candidates must visit the official website of CUET UG 2026- cuet.nta.nic.in and click on the tab 'CUET (UG)- 2026 Click here for registration/Login.' Screen will now display the CUET UG registration page

Step 1: Registration

  • To begin with the CUET online form 2026, candidates must click on the 'New Candidate Registration Here' tab at cuet.nta.nic.in and read the instructions carefully before proceeding.

  • Enter personal, contact details and address to create login credentials.

  • Candidates will receive the username and password on their registered email ID and SMS.

  • On successful registration, Candidates must enter the following details to complete the CUET UG application form:

    • Candidate Name

    • Father’s Name

    • Mother’s Name

    • Guardian’s Name

    • Date of Birth from the drop-down box

    • Gender

    • Nationality

    • Identity Type (Select a valid Photo Identity Card type)

    • Identity Card Number

    • Present and Permanent Address

    • Email ID

    • Mobile Number and Alternate Contact Number

    • Choose Password (8-13 characters with one special character, one uppercase character, one lowercase character and one numeric character)

1. Personal Details: This section fetches information from the registration form, and the additional details required are as follows:

  • Confirmation of PwBD category

  • Parent’s Qualification

  • Parent’s Occupation

  • Annual Family Income

  • Confirmation of Being a Twin

2. Education Details

In this section, candidates have to enter their qualifying exam details such as the name of the board/college, passing year, marks obtained, and percentage scored. The fields has to be filled as follows:

Step 3: Examination Centre Selection: Candidates must choose two CUET exam centres: states and city choices in the preferential order in which they wish to appear for the exam.

Step 4: CUET Test Paper/CUET Domain Subject Selection

  • Candidates can select a minimum of three and a maximum of five subjects or papers.

  • Along with the CUET domain subject selection, candidates also have to select the medium or language of the question paper they wish to opt for.

  • In case of selecting less than five subjects, candidates have to select the NA: Not Applicable option for the rest of the subject fields.

 

Step 5: Upload Photograph and Signature

At this stage, candidates have to upload their scanned photographs and signatures as per the prescribed specifications. The following table brings the details of the documents to be uploaded.

After this step, candidates have to verify every detail entered and also verify their email id. Candidates will receive an OTP in the email id and upon entering that, they will be redirected to the CUET 2026 application fee payment section.

Step 6: Application Fee Payment

Candidates must pay the application fee to submit the CUET 2026 application form. Candidates get various online options to pay the CUET application fee like net banking, UPI and wallets. Candidates will not be allowed to pay the CUET fee 2026 in offline mode. The fee will vary for overseas candidates. Also, such candidates will be required to pay more for opting more number of subjects.

The detailed breakup of the application fee amount is given on the screen along with the payment windows, which are:

  • State Bank of India

  • Canara Bank

  • ICICI Bank

After that, candidates had to select the payment mode among Net Banking, Cards and UPI and complete the payment process.

Upon successful payment, an application confirmation message was displayed on the screen and the confirmation message and PDF was sent to the candidates’ registered email IDs as well.

Q:   What is the last date for filling CUET application form?

National Testing Agency will commence CUET 2026 registration in first week of March. Soon after the release of the CUET notification candidates candidates can check the important dates pertaining to CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration will be notiifed aling with the last date for payment of fee. 

Candidats will be required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2026 application process will be in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.

Challenges While Filling CUET Application Form 2026

 While filling the CUET UG 2026 application form, many applicants may encounter issues on the website for CUET UG. The number of challenges have been listed below:

  • The official website does not show the CUET subject mapping criteria for state, deemed, private and government institutions
  • Difficulty logging in despite entering the correct credentials
  • Auto logout while filling the CUET application form. As a result, details are not getting saved.
  • Payment status shows unsuccessful despite the amount debited from the account.
  • List of participating universities is not visible in the dropdown menu.

Other Common Problems While Filling CUET Application Form 2026

Candidates can face common problems while filling the CUET 2026 application form, like issues related to payment, accessing the online registration link, uploading images and many more. Some of the common problems and solutions related to CUET UG registrations are listed below:

Issue with uploading documents

  • Issue with uploading mainly occurs by not following the image specifications. 
  • Candidates can fix this issue by resizing the scanned documents as per the prescribed size and format.
  • Many online tools are available to resize the images.

Issue with Application Fee Payment

  • This issue can be faced by candidates due to internet speed problems. In such circumstances, candidates must try to pay the CUET 2026 application fee later.
  • If the payment is deducted, candidates are advised to wait for 24 hours for a fee to be credited or for the status to show 'successful'.

Timeout or File not Found Error

  • While filling the CUET application form 2026, candidates must ensure to use the latest version of the browser.

NTA CUET 2026 correction window will be available at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates have to follow the steps given below to make changes to the CUET 2026 application form:

What After CUET UG 2026 Application Process?

Registered candidates can download the CUET 2026 admit card when released. Candidates must note that CUET intimation slip will not act as CUET admit card 2026. Candidates must take the print of the CUET admit card 2026 and must be carried on the day of examination. To download the CUET 2026 admit card candidates will be required to enter their login credentials created at the time of registrations.

Q:   Is CUET exam date announced?
A: 

National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the CUET 2026 exam date in first week of March. NTA will conduct the CUET UG 2026 exam tentatively in May/June 2026. The exam will be conducted in multiple slots each day. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2026 exam in two slots: 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM.

CUET 2026 registrations will commence at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the CUET 2025 exam can register at DU CSAS 2025 portal. Candidates will be required to enter the college and course preference and pay the DU CSAS registration 2025 fee to participate in the admission process. On the basis of the choices entered and CUET 2025 percentile, candidates will be alloted college and course. CUET 2025 result will be declared in last week of June 2025 at cuet.nta.nic.in.

You can't do BBA from CUET with PCB in 12 th as CUET requires the same subjects as in 12th for BBA you need math's English and general test

No, Bapuji Academy of Management & Research (BAMR) is not under CUET. The academy accepts the scores of certain other entrance exams such as, MAT/PGCET/KMAT. Candidates who have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved category) can apply for admission.

No, Terna Global Business School is not under CUET. Rather the college accepts scores of various other entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, MAH-CET, etc. Candidates are not required to appear for the CUET exam rather they must appear for any of these exams.

No, Chandola Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is not under CUET. Instead the college accepts the scores of the UPMT exam for admission to the BHMS course. This is the Uttaranchal Pre-Medical Test and is conducted by the State Government of Uttarakhand at different centres.
