CUET UG 2026 Application Form: Top Mistakes to Avoid
As CUET participating universities might fetch details added by a candidate in the application form for admission, filling in the correct details is essential to avoid disqualification of candidature. Students filling CUET application form must check below points before registering for CUET.
- Add Correct Personal Details. Candidates must add their personal details, such as name, address, parents’ names, etc., as per their official documents and Class 10 & 12 certificates. If there is even a slight change in these details, it may result in the disqualification of application of the candidate during CUET admission process.
- Add Accurate Contact Information. NTA shares all relevant notifications through registered contact details. So, candidates are advised to enter personal mobile number and email address.
- Upload Proper Category Certificate. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Kashmiri Migrant, etc.), they must upload their category certificate; otherwise, they will not be able to claim reservation benefits during CUET counselling process.
- Upload Quality Photograph and Signature. NTA will not accept blurry photographs and unclear signatures in the application form. Candidates must upload their passport size colored photograph with 80% face visible, including ears, with a white background. This year, there is also Live Photograph uploading option during application.
- Select Subjects Based on CUET 2026 Subject Mapping. NTA allows candidates to select maximum five UG subjects in application form. A candidate must check the course-wise subject combination of their target university before making selection in online form. If a candidate fails to appear for subjects as required by a university, they will not be able to participate in its counselling process, even though they score well.
- Check CUET Eligibility Criteria. Before filling the registration form, candidates must check CUET UG 2026 eligibility criteria, including educational qualification and age limit, to ensure they are eligible to appear for exam.
- Keep a Receipt of Transaction. Candidates must make sure they successfully make the payment of CUET 2026 application fee. Students can pay the fee in online mode, via net banking/ credit card/ debit card/ UPI/ Wallet.

- Wait for a few hours and login again to check payment status.
- If the issue persists, contact bank or payment gateway to confirm transaction status.

No, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2027 registrations have not commenced yet. The registration window will be active at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2027 notification in first week of January. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2027 process will commence online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2027 exam must complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they have fulfilled the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.
On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2025-26, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top central universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission:
- Very Good Score: 700 and above
- Good Score: 650 and above
CUET UG total marks is 250 Marks for each subject. Candidates can choose up to five CUET subjects. Each subject paper has 50 questions which will total to 250 marks for each subject. For every correct answer, candidate will get 5 marks. The CUET total marks will be uniform for all 37 subjects. The Total CUET subjects marks can vary depending on the number of subjects chosen by candidates.
- If three CUET subjects chosen: 750 total marks
- If four CUET subjects chosen: 1000 total marks
- If five CUET subjects chosen: 1250 total marks
For commerce students, aiming admission to top CUET accepting college must score between 750 and 800marks out of 1000 marks. Securing minimum of 90 percentile is considered a good score for admission to top tier courses like B.Com, B.Com (Hons.). Candidates must also ensure to meet the subject criteria for successful admission.

National Testing Agency opened CUET correction window from February 09 to February 11, 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. This window allowed only registered candidates to make changes in certain fields on their application form. Students must note that only candidates who successfully registered themselves by February 04 and paid online fee by February 07, 2026 (by 11:50 pm) were able to make correction in their forms.
