The above BE/ B.Tech degree or any other higher degree such as 5 years integrated M.E. / M.Tech degree must have been obtained from AICTE approved institute or the IITs' or from University Engineering Colleges (Colleges directly run by University). However, candidates from the combination steam i.e. Category (a) and (b) will have to pass Part 'A' subject of both MEO Class –IV and MEO Class – II grade of Examinations. These candidates may be considered for exemption from appearing in subject of Mathematics and Applied Mechanics. Candidates from Category (c) and (d) are exempted from appearing in all subjects of Part 'A' off both MEO Class – IV and MEO Class – II grade of examinations Medical Standard: Candidate should be physically fit for sea service under DGS standard norms, with eyesight up to 6/12 in both eyes or 6/9 in better eye, 6/18 in other eye and with no colour blindness. Passport is mandatory.
