Q: How many rounds of counselling are there in CUET for AKTU admission?

DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University is expected to conduct a total of six rounds for CUET-UG-qualified candidates. However, the cutoff rounds are conducted as per seat availability. If seats are available after AKTU round six of the counselling process, the University will release the special round to fulfil their vacant seats.

Q: Is CUET compulsory for AKTU admission?

Yes, candidates seeking admission to DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University undergraduate and postgraduate courses must have appeared for the CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance exams, respectively. AKTU will not admit students who do not a valid CUET score. NTA usually releases CUET result in July. CUET UG Counselling is held and conducted separately by the participating institutes. CUET UG Counselling is usually held between Jul and Aug.

Q: What is the minimum eligibility required for AKTU admission?

A minimum of Class 12 is required for AKTU UG and graduation for AKTU PG courses. Below is the AKTU eligibility for top courses:

Q: Is it compulsory to report at the institute as per UPTAC counseling schedule 2026?

Yes, applicants allotted seat at the time of UPTAC counselling seat allotment have to report at the institute as per the schedule. Candidates need to report at the institute before the last date for admission confirmation. Applicants have to carry all the documents and xerox copies at the time of physical reporting. Applicants who fail to report at the allotted institute will be disqualified from the admission process. Candidates are advised to keep track of UPTAC counselling dates 2026 to never miss any event related to the admission process.

I suggest all students visit this campus.

Placements: 80 percent of students get placed in the mechanical, electrical, and civil courses. The average package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, MNCs, Amazon, Flipkart, etc., hire students. Minimum 80% is required to sit in the placement cell to get an internship opportunity. Roles like data analysis, machine parts making, etc., are offered here.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not good in my branch, but in other branches, it is good. Computer labs are web-developed. Classrooms are good. Each classroom has AC, fans, and a water cooler. There is a well-developed library for students. The hostel has good food facilities. We get food 4 times. Medical facilities are also available here.

Faculty: Teachers come from IITs and NITs. Many professors are PhD holders. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, so students are able to learn. Monthly, there are two wise sessional examinations. Semester exams are conducted. The minimum pass percentage is 35%.

Other: I chose this course because I want to gain technical knowledge and skills as well as a technical degree.

The teachers are highly educated and college is very good.

Placements: The percentage of students got placed from your course is 90 percent. The highest package is 19 LPA and the lowest package is 10 LPA. The top company has also come to our college and picked up big students from our company. 95 percent of students got internships from our courses.

Infrastructure: All classrooms have Wi-Fi, AC, a fan, etc. In all, build more than 5 labs in a week, a single game play week by week, and whoever wins the college gives them a gift.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, highly educated, qualified, and knowledgeable and they teach in very easy and simple language (Hindi and English). The semester exam is very good and very helpful to understand how to write answers and other things and the exam results are very good. In our college course offerings Diploma, B.Tech, M.Tech, ITI, B.Pharma, D.Pharma, hotel management, etc.

Other: I chose the electrical engineering course at the Diploma in Buddha Polytechnic College, and it is good.

Placements: I am doing a Diploma from Galgotia University. If we talk on the basis of placement, there are very few students who got placements from Galgotias who are doing Diploma. Many students go for higher studies, and that was okay at placement. This is good.

Infrastructure: First of all, at the start when I went to get admission, they said I would get admission in Galgotia University, not Galgotia College. But after the admission, they run our classes in the old block of Galgotia College. The condition of the building is poor.

Faculty: A few faculty treat us poorly. They said we were not good for doing this course. They treat us like we were in school. They try to say we come from illiterate families. Exams are okay, but the attendance criteria are not good.

Other: No events for Diploma students were treated poorly, not a good culture, not good people.

My college is nice. The environment of the college is good.

Placements: There is a lower percentage of placement. Because they haven't come till now. The students are really disappointed because they didn't get the jobs that they wanted. There are a minimum students who got placed through the college and through anyone.

Infrastructure: There are all the facilities available, like books. Dresses for all the students are included in the fee structure, which is good according to us. The computer labs are not in good condition, and some of the computers are not working properly.

Faculty: All the teachers are really helpful, and their teaching style is good. The semester exams are according to the syllabus, but the students didn't get the marks according to their efforts because when the students answered all the questions, they got only the passing marks.

Other: The thing that needs to be improved is the computers in the lab, they didn't work properly.

Placements: 1.5 crores per annum is the highest placement in college, it will give you placement according to your skills. You need to be good at studies and score good marks in the semester exam. Placement companies are coming to our college every year.

Infrastructure: College hostel is very good. Every facility is available. Hostel canteen and mess are good, and the hostel medical facility is also good, but only for normal diseases, not for high-level diseases. If you have a normal fever, you can take the medicine. The first innovation lab in Gorakhpur is in our college.
