An honest review of Amity University Kolkata.
Placements: 76% of students got placed in my course last year. There's a chance that this number might increase in upcoming years as this is a growing field. The highest package is above 12-15 LPA. The lowest is around 4-5 LPA. The average is 7-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Biocon, Cipla, Aculife Pharmaceutical, etc. Approximately 89% of students can get internships based on their performance in companies like Cipla, etc. Top role offered in my course if you go for Ph.D, then you can be a researcher or work at a 9-5 job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great starting from the Wi-Fi connection, all the items you need for labs. Classrooms are nice. The library is also well-maintained. You would get every book that you would need for your course. Hostel facilities are also awesome. The quality of the mess and canteen is also above average. There are proper medical facilities available and sports and games are given equal attention.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful over here. Some teachers are there which can be a bit problematic but other than that they look after every child who raises a concern. The teaching quality is quite nice. The course curriculum is very relevant to what you need to do later on in your field job. It makes students industry-ready if they attend all the theory and lab classes properly. The semester exams are not very tough if you just follow the class. The pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: I chose this course as it is a growing field and the future in this course is quite bright. I like to do research work, so it is very helpful for me. The best thing about this course is that it makes you industry-ready. I wish there were not some irrelevant subjects such as history, stress management, etc. About the events, fests, the campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, extracurricular activities, etc., all things are amazing.
