Anna University Selection & Release of Merit List
After the application window is closed, students are required to go through the course-specific entrance exam, followed by other selection rounds (if applicable). For some courses, national-level exam scores are accepted. After the selection rounds are over, course-wise merit lists are released on the official website of the university. For UG programmes, TNEA is required, while TANCET/ CEETA PG is required for PG admissions.
Counselling/ Personal Interview

Anna University Fee Refund Policy 2026
Anna University offers fee refund according to the time of withdrawal of admission. Check below guidelines of Anna University fee refund criteria:
- At the time of Online Counseling, the candidates have to pay a certain amount as initial deposit. The Initial Deposit will be adjusted against the Tuition Fee
- If an applicant declines admission after the publication of Tentative Allotment OR an applicant who is not allotted a Branch during Provisional Allotment shall be eligible for 100% Refund of the Initial Deposit
- If a candidate does not join the Branch offerred in University Department of Anna University after Provisional Allotment and seeks refund, only the 80% of the initial amount paid will be refunded.
- The Eligible Refund Amount will be Credited to the Bank Account of the Applicant Only. Students must upload the copy of first page bank passbook, which is in the name of the Applicant.
