As per Annamalai University's NIRF report 2024, the university was able to place 18 M.Tech students during the placement drive held in 2023. Moreover, the report states that the median package for MTech courses stood at INR 4.28 LPA.

Candidates can apply for Annamalai University admission in online mode through its official website. Interested applicants also need to pay a course-specific application fee to conclude the application process. The university is ranked among the top three Universities in India for best distance education providers. Annamalai University highest package data is not released. However, as per NIRF report 2025, BTech and MTech median package recorded in 2024 was 2.5 LPA and 4.26 LPA. MBA median package in 2024 was 2.45 LPA.

The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

The UG degree admission process entails the basic eligibility criteria of maintaining a minimum aggregate of 40% to 50% in Class 12. For PG level programmes, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation and secure a valid score in suggested entrance exams, depending on the course opted for. The University considers valid scores of entrance exams such as NEET UG/ PG, CEETA, TANCET, TNEA and others. 

It is always advised to candidates to keep the track of admission deadline. However, in case they miss the deadline, they can reach out to the admission office of the Annamalai University DDE. Usually, the university gives a good amount of time to aspirants to apply for admission. In case no other option is possible, aspirants can apply in the next session. The university conucts admission in two sessions-January and July.

Annamalai University DDE has not specified any age limit to apply for a course. However, aspirants do need to fulfill the qualification requirements to apply for admission. The basic qualification required for UG courses is Class 12 and graduation for PG programmes.
