Good college and worthy to join.

Placements: Every year almost 120 students join this course at our university. Now, a days placement training were held for our students so it gives opportunities. DSM a GIS company was like to recruit our students mostly. We can get any internship program from our experienced professors.

Infrastructure: Average infrastructure when I studied here. But now they modified and maintained neatly and placed so many samples in our department which give ideas about that subjects. We have a separate library, cultural function depends upon the head of the department.

Faculty: Best experienced staff could help students to understand core knowledge about the subjects in practical as well as theory. They will bring you to fields to teach the origin and occurrence of a fossil or minerals. Compulsory they well held field camp.

Other: I have loved this course since my childhood and when I've completed high school then I like to do this course because we can learn every subject in geology. Moreover, it's a practical course so could enjoy the field and learn simple.

Faculty are the best here. Placements are excellent.

Placements: I am studying M.Sc. geology at Annamalai University. Around 80% of the students got placed here, and the rest of the 20% of the students opt for their higher studies. Most of my seniors were offered internships from the college. They offered placements even for the students who have arrears, and they are offered a minimum salary of Rs. 20,000 per month. Students who didn't have any backlogs are offered jobs with a salary of Rs. 40,000 to 50,000 per month. If you score more than 80% in academics, you will have many chances to place abroad.

Infrastructure: Annamalai University is the only residential university in India. It offers courses in medical, engineering, agriculture, arts and sciences streams. The college provides the best lab facilities. It's the best university in Tamilnadu for the geology department and is ranked 5th all across India. Annamalai University has a medical campus, so the medical facilities are the best in this university. The library has many books for each department, and this library is very helpful for students. The university has great talent as far as sports and games are concerned. Wi-Fi facility provided in our library and our department is very good. The food offered in some hostels is very good. In the boys' hostel, each room is allocated for 2 members whereas, in the girls' hostel, each room is allocated to many students.

Faculty: Around 10 faculty members are available here. Annamalai University offers many courses. The teaching staff of all the courses are well talented and experienced. In our geology department, all the professors are PhD scholars, and some professors have completed their PhDs even in two subjects. All faculty members are well talented and experienced professors. Professors help the students personally to improve our knowledge. Our college also organises industrial visits, and they also conduct many trips for our department in the final year. They also conduct an all India trip for the students to visit industrial and mining firms which are related to our geology department as that information is very helpful for us.

Other: In our university, some events are conducted by our VC. If you are interested in sports or NCC and NSS programmes, they will join you in those clubs. The college also encourages extracurricular activities. Scholarships are available for the student who stood in the first rank in academics. They also provide scholarships for the students who belong to BC, MBC and SC/ST communities. Scholarships are also provided for students who take part in research activities.

Being at this university is good. We learned a lot of things apart from studies.

Placements: Every year, the placements were held in our college, but the number of reputed company coming for the placements is very less. This will not give much exposure to the students. Our college management has to bring some reputed companies with good packages. Then only the placements will be useful.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is above average. The lab facilities are good. We have good lecturers. We have the equipment needed for the experiments, but they are to improved. They have to update the old equipment. Overall, it is good compared to other universities.

Faculty: The curriculum has been designed to prepare for the competitive exams. The faculty are good enough. They coordinate everything together. The classes are regularly conducted. Exams are conducted on time. A number of records have to be written by the students.

Other: There are no events and cultural activities in our college.

Placements: The placements are not provided for our department. I do not know particularly about the other departments, but there are some placements for engineering departments. There is no assurance that the students get a job after completing the course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The college has libraries in each department. There is a main library in the college which is well maintained, and it has good facilities. The college has its own medical college and hospital. The college also has a physical Science department, so the sports activities are regularly organised. The hostel rooms, Labs, and classrooms are good.

Faculty: The faculty members of the college are qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is better, and their teaching methods are good. The teachers are knowledgeable. The field visits are organised regularly to help the students to have industrial exposure. The course curriculum is very good and helpful for preparing exams.
