Recently, three engineering students from Chandigarh University capitalized on the opportunities provided to them and secured lucrative placement offers from renowned Maruti Suzuki. Mechanical Engineering student, Harivansh Singh Kalra, and Automobile Engineering students, Sanidhya Singh and Akshit Yadav, have secured placement offers of Rs 12.85 LPA each to initiate their careers on a high-note.  

These placements, along with others, highlight CU’s prowess in campus placements for upcoming mechanical and automobile engineers. Apart from Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, MG Motors, Yamaha, Bajaj Auto, Renault Nissan Hyundai Motors, Volvo Eicher, HERO MotoCorp, TVS Motors are some of the other top recruiters for automobile engineering students. 

Overall, Chandigarh University hosted 1300+ MNCs for campus placements and generated 10,000+ placement offers with highest international placement package at ₹1.7 Cr and national placement package ₹54.70 LPA. Following is a break down of placement packages offered by companies is below:

  • Placed: 159 students
     So:

  • Majority get opportunities, but not all

  • Some students:

    • Go for higher studies

    • Or search off-campus jobs
