After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. As per the latest report, the highest package offered to CSE students during 2023 placements was INR 6 LPA and was offered by Hexaware Technologies. Earlier, the highest package offered in 2022 was comparatively higher and the amount stood at INR 10 LPA. Assam University can be considered competitive as admission is based on the entrance exam scores. Courses such as BTech in Computer Science and Engineering are hard to get due to the high cutoff in JEE Main. For other courses, the university accepts the CUET UG exam. 50% of BTech seats are reserved for the permanent residents of Assam, and the remaining 50% are for All India candidates. However, admission also depends on academic performance and individual preference. 

Assam University offers over 86 UG, PG, diploma, doctoral, and certificate programmes in various fields, such as Engineering, Arts, Science, and Commerce, and for admission in many of the courses and specialisation there are specific entrance exams such as CUET-UG for admission in UG courses, CUET-PG for admission in PG course, JEE-Main for admission in BTech course.

Students need to prepare well for the aforesaid entrance examinations because having a good rank will ensure that the candidate becomes eligible for further counselling, followed by document verification and fee payment.

Assam University cutoff 2023 is based on JEE Main scores followed by the JoSAA Counselling. JEE Main Round 6 has been released for University admission to the  BTech courses as a concluding round. As per Assam University JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 48929 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota,  47665 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Yes, Assam University does offer undergraduate courses in the arts through its affiliated colleges and constituent departments. The university might not offer BA courses on its campus except integrated BA courses. However, the affiliated college of Assam University offers several specialisations in BA courses such as English, Political Science, History, etc. Additionally, the Bachelor in Arts course are available for the duration of three to four years and is offered in both full-time and part-time mode. 

Assam University accepts admission through various national-level, state-level & university-level entrance exams. CUET-UG is also one of those entrance exams that Assam University enrol candidates. 

Students need to prepare well for the CUET-UG exam because only those candidates can register further for the admission process whose rank or scorecard will be within the range specified by the university, i.e. merit list, which will be released on Assam University's official website. 

Apart from CUET-UG, there are several other gateway exams for admission to Assam University, such as JEE-Main, CAT, WSAT, CUCET, etc.

Assam University admission 2023 to BTech course is based on JEE Main 2023 ranks followed by JoSAA Counselling 2023. and further followed by CSAB Counselling. Candidates seeking admission to Assam University must appear for JEE Main along with meet the qualifying cutoff. As per the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment guidelines, PwD candidates will be provided with following facilities:

1. Scribe facility: In case the candidate has physical limitation and required a scribe for writing the exam, he/she must be certified in the format provided by CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
2. Extra time: PwD candidates will get extra time of one hour whether such candidates use scribe facilities or not.
