Yes, it is compulsory for all bonafide students of the institute to stay in the residential facility of IIITM Gwalior. There are 4 boys’ hostels and 1 girls’ hostel on the campus. Each hostel has students of all ages. The hostels have many facilities, including a mess. The mess is run by student representatives through the “Student Welfare Society”. A common gym facility is provided in the sports complex. Indoor sports facilities like table tennis, carom, chess, badminton, etc. are present. TV rooms with newspapers, magazines, and reading/study room facilities, 24x7 security guards and hostel supervisors in the hostels, supply of hot and cold water throughout the year, 24x7 supply of RO water with a water cooler on each floor of the hostels, and 24x7 internet connection, among others, are available to the students. Each student is provided with a single bed, a full-sized covered almirah, a ceiling fan, a study table, and a chair. Hostels are CCTV-connected to provide IT-based surveillance systems. Fire extinguishers, a biometric attendance system, a photostat, stationery, and other essential amenities like Milk milk parlour, cafeteria, juice parlour, etc. are available adjacent to hostel areas.

The tuition fee for a two-year M.Tech ranges from NR 2.4 Lacs to INR 7.9 lakh. Apart from this, the total fee includes components such as hotel fee (if applicable), caution deposit, and other amounts to be paid at the time of admission. Candidates have to submit the compulsory fee at the time of admission to confirm their seats.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam takes place in the month of April every year. Whereas, the application form for Session 2 will be available on the JEE Mains website. The exam is conducted by NTA.

Yes, IIITM Gwalior offers a five-year integrated course in BTech+MTech. This course is offered in only one specialisation, i.e., Information Technology. To get admission into these integrated courses, candidates are required to qualify for JEE (Mains) followed by JoSSA/CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling. Additionally, the placement statistics for this integrated course were better in the year 2024 compared to the M.Tech course.

Going as per the last few year trends, candidates are expected to have a good score of 85 percentile in CMAT, in order to be able to participate in further rounds. IIITM Gwalior cutoffs are released for admission to MBA course based on CMAT Scores. Candidates who meet the CMAT 2023 cut off are considered for the next round of MBA admission 2024-25 batch. The cutoff for IIITM Gwalior for all rounds and categories was released for IIITM Gwalior. For students belonging to the General AI Quota, the last round cutoff score ranged from 370 to 534. The most competitive course, this year, proved to be the Integrated M.Tech. + Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, with the last round closing score of 534. 

For the OBC AI quota, the range fell between 327 to 486,  wherein M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the hardest course to get admitted to, followed by M.Tech. in Information Technology, with a cutoff score of 486 and 456, respectively.
