GMC Amritsar - A good option or not?
Placements: There are 250 students per batch in the 1st year of college. The internship amount is Rs 20,000 per month from this year. All the students who complete 4th year, and pass it are placed in an internship. You are eligible for NEET PG after you complete your internship.
Infrastructure: There are excellent facilities available in college with excellent Wi-Fi and air conditioning running in classrooms. There are lecture theatre, library, and labs. The quality of food available in mess is excellent. Canteen is also good. There are various game courts on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable with excellent teaching quality. The curriculum is also relevant to the syllabus and makes teaching more effective and easier for students as well as teachers. There are yearly exams for each subject, and they are easy to pass.

Really best college in Mohali.
Placements: 3 to 5% of students were placed in various hospitals. The highest package started from Rs 70,000 per month, and the average package was about Rs 45,000 per month and Rs 25,000 per month without hostel. Recruiting companies were mainly in the private hospital. We got our internship from the hospital, GMC, and rest of the private clinics. The roles offered in our course were the X-ray technician, computed tomography, MRI, and various others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course was quite good. Classrooms were spacious, equipped with projectors, and had clean seating. Our labs were well-maintained with proper computers, lab assistants, and updated software. Library had a decent collection of books and also provided access to online journals. Hostel facilities were average. Rooms were shared (usually 2 or 3 students), and the basic amenities were provided like a bed, table, chair, and cupboard. Wi-Fi was available but sometimes slow. The mess food was okay, though not great. It was edible but repetitive. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly, but water issues sometimes occurred.
Faculty: Faculty members at my college were well-qualified and supportive. Most professors had either a Ph.D. or industry experience. They explained concepts clearly and were approachable outside class hours as well. Some professors were strict, but overall they care about student learning. The curriculum was up-to-date with current industry trends, especially in the final years. It included both theoretical and practical subjects. In computer science, we had subjects like data structures, DBMS, operation systems, and even electives on AI and machine learning. There were regular internal assessments and lab work that helped in understanding real-world applications.

I'm absolutely dissatisfied with the mess food and the studies, as there's no care for the future.
Placements: There are 60 students in my class. No package is offered because it's a professional degree, and no companies come for recruitment. All students settle independently after obtaining their degree. Nursing is very good in my college. As this is a private college, everything largely depends on money.
Infrastructure: The B.A.M.S. hostel is better than others. Labs, classrooms, and a library are provided. It's generally good, but I'm not satisfied with the hostel food in the mess.
Faculty: All are qualified. Mediocre exams are there in each semester, and we could clear them by studying. 60% of students pass. The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, some teachers who work as librarian or in accounting just think themselves the most superior, and I hate that.
Other: I want to become a doctor that's why I opted. Campus must be improvise. Practical classes should be improvise. At fest also below average people come on the name of fest.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2026
Offered by Dayanand Medical College and Hospital
3.8
5Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Real colors of DMC&H, college of nursing, Ludhiana, Malakpur.
Placements: All students are asked if they want to work in the hospital or not, and based on the interview, they get placements in different hospital departments. You have to work in shifts, morning, evening, and night, even during your student life. You can't even close your eyes during night duty, even if there is no work. Although no stipend is provided during the internship, you will gain a lot of practical exposure.
Infrastructure: College has a gym, mess, and TV room, but none of the gym equipment works, and the TV subscription is not even renewed. There is a large ground and a basketball court. The rooms are small considering the number of people living in them. The food is average, with no fruits or milk served. The canteen is too expensive, and online food delivery is not allowed. Outings are also prohibited, and parents are not allowed to enter the campus unless the warden gives permission. While it is understandable that parents cannot enter the hostel rooms, they are not even allowed inside the college campus.
Faculty: Faculty rarely gives high assessment marks; unlike other colleges where you can score up to 22 or 23 out of 25, here you’ll usually get around 19 or 20 at most. Students are often used as unpaid labor in the hospital, leaving them too exhausted to focus on their studies, which leads to failing exams. The environment can be toxic, and many students here suffer from anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, often requiring psychiatric medication. Some teachers mentally harass students to the point where they lose interest in everything.
Other: In the name of activities, they organize seminars or exhibitions that only exhaust you even more. Sports events last for just one day, from 8 AM to 2 PM, and that’s it. As students here, we are trauma-bonded and end up causing each other more trauma.

College is good and excellent performance in nearby areas.
Placements: Student's placement according to the interview result, but the placement feedback is too good. The package is Rs 30,000 maximum. The different hospital management comes for the interview and selects the students for the job. In clinical duty, the hospital also participates and cooperative with students.
Infrastructure: In our college, labs, library, classrooms, and hall are present. College infrastructure is good. In our hostel, the food, rooms, and medical facilities are good. In hot weather, proper arrangements are made for students to use cooling devices. In hostel, the rooms are average. There are 4 students in each room.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is good. Sports meets and games are also involved every week. That much not difficult but if the teachers are good it will be easy for us. If you are interested in teaching after B.Sc. then college also permits the students to teach in our college.
Other: The staff and principal are very helpful and also guide you from different perspectives.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this college!
Placements: Our B.Tech CSE batch had an excellent placement record, with top companies like TCS, Wipro, and IBM recruiting students, and many securing internships. The faculty's industry connections and the college's strong placement cell played a significant role in achieving this success.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent facilities, including well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a vast library. The hostel provides comfortable rooms and nutritious food options. Additionally, the campus has medical facilities, sports grounds, and equipment for various activities, creating a conducive environment for overall development.
Faculty: The faculty's industry connections and the college's strong placement cell played a significant role in achieving this success. Additionally, the faculty is highly qualified and experienced, with a well-structured curriculum and fair exams, providing a solid foundation for our career growth.
