NIMAT review from a CSE Branch Student.
Placements: In the CSE branch, around 50 percent of students have been placed so far. The placement percentage is expected to increase in the coming year as the batch progresses. The highest package is 14.9 LPA from MME (Vedanta). The highest package in CSE is 10.5 LPA. The average package for Computer Science is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Trinamix, Accenture, Reliance, Vedanta, JSW, and others. Around 40–50 percent of students secure internships through their own skills.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good and exceed expectations. Everything is available, including Wi-Fi, lab access, library, and classrooms. Hostel facilities include double-sharing rooms in the first year and single rooms from the second year onwards. Mess food is average. Students can manage with it, though it may require some adjustment. Medical facilities are available. The college provides a medical card for free checkups. Sports facilities include cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and chess, with active clubs.
Faculty: Overall, all teachers are helpful and well qualified. Many holding Ph.D. degrees from IITs and NITs. The CSE curriculum is NEP-based and industry-oriented. If students study regularly instead of just before exams, they can easily score above 8.5 CGPA.
Other: My branch was originally CE, but it has now been changed to CSE this year. This gives students more time and flexibility to enjoy college life. Also prepare for other exams, and explore opportunities. There is not much academic pressure in this college. If your rank is between 70,000 to 1 lakh, you can consider this college. Overall, it is good, though exposure is limited. One batch has already passed out. So placements are expected to improve in the coming years.

My college is not the best but it's a good college for every average and low-ranked student.
Placements: Placement is not good in the computer engineering branch but 25 students under 40 will be placed with a package of 8 LPA-9 LPA average and the ongoing. The core branches placement is very good in the college its ratio is above 95 and 100 percent. The overall placement is average.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course is very good. The hostel facility, maintenance, and hostel building are very good, but the mess food is average. The hostel is neat and clean, so students are safe from mosquitoes.
Faculty: Most of the college faculty have Master's and Ph.D. in IITs and the curriculum of our classes and exams is good and exams are conducted properly and on time. The faculty is very familiar with students and if students have any doubts or fears about exams, the professor overcomes these fears to give them good guidelines. The syllabus of our course is similar to that of the IITs and NITs.
Other: The campus size is not very big nor is it very small the size is enough for students to do extracurricular activities.

NIFFT: A college with memories.
Placements: NIFFT boasts a track record in placement. Due to its emphasis on core branches such as metallurgy and manufacturing, most placements are secured by students in core companies. Individual attention is given to each student, resulting in an almost perfect placement rate. In 2023, the average package was 7 LPA. Notable recruiting companies at NIFFT include Tata Steel, Heavy Engineering Corporation, NML, IOCL, ONGC, Vedanta, JSW and others.
Infrastructure: The college may be on 65 acres when compared to institutes but its campus is well planned and fully utilized. The labs, classrooms, instruments and equipment are all in good condition and equipped with modern facilities. There are four boy hostels and one girl hostel on the campus. The hostels provide a range of amenities, such as 24-hour Wi-Fi, round-the-clock electricity supply, equipped common rooms and nicely furnished rooms. Additionally, the college offers mess and canteen services that are reasonably priced.
Faculty: The professors at this institution have credentials holding Ph.D. degrees from universities such as IITs, NITs and international institutions. They are known to be very supportive and primarily conduct classes in English to cater to the student population coming from parts of India. NIFFT is recognised for its programs in fields like metallurgy and mechanical engineering. Recently, two new disciplines have been introduced: computer engineering and production & industrial engineering. Admission to these B.Tech. courses is based on the JEE Main Rankings administered by the NTA.
Other: The college is quite impressive in terms of placement and infrastructure. The main thing about the college is that it provides all the facilities at very reasonable prices. Overall, it is a good place for learning and having splendid memories. If we talk about cons, the college is located in Hatia, a small town in Ranchi, so it does not provide good connectivity for transport. The other thing is that NIFFT doesn't have any impressive clubs or societies, so it lags in terms of exposure and crowds.

Good placement and also has a good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement is good overall at the college, and there are many companies visiting for placement. The average package is 6-7 LPA and the highest package is 19 LPA. The faculty members are very helpful and almost every student is placed. In this college, Vedanta, JSW, Maruti, etc. are visited for campus placement .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The classroom and the lab are well maintained but in the library, there is a shortage of books. The hostels room are good; in every room, you will find study table, chair, fan, etc. Wi-Fi and electricity are always available 24 hours a day.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and very helpful. Faculty help us academically and non-academically and give us the right path to achieve our goals in life. The curriculum is well define but the Some time it is not follow the curriculum. The pass percentage is 35% in each subject.
Other: I think the coding culture will improve. There is very little crowd on campus.

It is the best college in terms of placements.
Placements: Our college provides the best placements. It provides 100% placements. The average salary package offered in a core department ranges between 13 LPA - 14 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have the best hostels. They are huge. The mess is the best. The playground is small. The campus is spread over 65 acres of land. We have the best library. All hostels are surrounded by greenery.
Faculty: Exams are moderate. We have the best faculty members. They are supportive. We have mid-semester and final semester exams. Our college is affiliated with JUT. The course is maintained in a well-structured way.

It is a national level college.
Placements: Placements are average. Almost 100% of students got placed in our course. There is a strong alumni network in this college. Around 25 students got an average salary package of 15 LPA. The minimum salary package offered was 6 LPA. The maximum salary package offered was 9.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vedanta and Maruti Suzuki. Internships are offered at Tata, SAIL, Hindalco, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Drinking water facility is available. Single-occupancy and double-occupancy rooms are available in the hostel. The food served in the mess is decent. Canteen is available. Sports clubs are active in this college. Medical facilities are available. Our college has tied up with MECON Hospital where you get free treatment. Free ambulance service is available. There is a central library. Few books are available in the library.
Faculty: Professors are good and well-experienced. Few of them are Ph.D. scholars. It is a central government college. Students of every college in India rely on YouTube to pass exams. The course is 90% CSE and 10% digital manufacturing. HOD and course adviser are very good. The syllabus is relevant. Our college is affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology. It will manage all exams and provide the final certificate. Most of the papers are prepared here, especially computer engineering and production engineering. Semester exams are moderately difficult.
Other: Our college has always been the top scorer in GATE. We have AIR 3 and AIR 10. There is no self-improvement in this college. Events are conducted. The security facility of this college is very good. Our college has a lot of students from South India. They do not face any problems here as it is a central government college. Our campus crowd is average. The fee structure is reasonable.

College is good, only the campus is small, and all other facilities are also good.
Placements: 45% percent of my computer engineering branch is placed till now, with the average package of 7 LPA, and placement is still going. The highest package is 10 LPA PPO, the lowest package is 5.8 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Trinamix, JSW, and Cognizant, which will also come soon. Students have to get an internship on their own.
Infrastructure: All facilities and infrastructure are the best. But the quality of food available in the mess is, as you know, average quality. All other medical facilities, sports, and games are best provided here. You also get a medical card, which you can use in any verified hospital for treatment.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified and have certified Ph.D. degrees from a prestigious institute. Most of them get their Master's from IITs. Course curricula are relevant as they make the students ready for the industry. Semester exams are easy if you pay attention in class.
Other: Events such as Aritsta and Jinks are also happening from time to time.

College is good. It is value for money but some further improvements are needed.
Placements: The top branch of this college is metallurgy and mechanical. In 2025, almost all students get placed and the average for metallurgy is approximately 9LPA and for mechanical is 6 to 7 LPA. The placement of 2026 is ongoing, some students of computer engineering get full time offer, metallurgy and mechanical are going decently.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old but some buildings are new. There is a computer lab, classrooms are decent but AC is not available in classroom, and a library is there beside the red building where almost all books are available. There is two seater room for the 1st year. One table, one chair and a bed provided by the hostel authority. Mess food is good. It is value for money.
Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified. All faculty have done their Ph.D. from IIT. In 1st semester they taught about C and from 2nd start the data structure will start. The semester exam level in college is average. In 1 or 2 subject papers can be tough but normally the paper is moderate where you can except question from notes.
