Decent placements in 2023-24 with really great infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: This college has very good placements recorded in this year as well, despite having recession, the placements were really very good. The highest package offered is somewhere around 16 lacs in civil and the average package is 9.3 lacs which is pretty decent for this branch. There are lots of companies recruiting in which L&T is the top recruiter. Except the core companies lots of Consultancies and product based companies also allow the students of Civil to sit in the placements drive. Almost 60% students were provided internships in which NHAI provided the top internship. Students are selected for different roles like structural designer, executive engineer and many more.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really very good including the classrooms, departments, and laboratories. The classes at BIT Mesra are really high class and beautiful being fully air conditioned and having good facilities with a huge students’ seating capacity. The Library is also very good with lots of new edition books having a very wide collection which is updated regularly. There is no human effort for issuing any book as there is a fully automated machine through which you can do it on your own. The main campus has complete Wi-Fi coverage so there is no issue of connectivity. The hostels are not very good but they're definitely better than the other colleges. The mess food is really very good. You won't be facing any issue regarding the mess food. Sometimes you may feel like it’s not good, but most of the times it’s really good. Medical facilities are provided 24*7. If you have any kind of issue you can just call the ambulance which will come to receive you at your hostel and take you to the dispensary where you will get the assistance and medicines as well. Sports and games facilities are good having well-equipped badminton court, basketball court, gyms and all the things that you need. They are very well maintained.

Faculty: Our professors are really very qualified with a very good experience. They are really helpful, you can go and ask whatever doubts you have, and they are always ready to help no matter what, even if they are running out of time. If it’s not possible for them to clear the doubts, they will ask you to come some other time, but they will surely consider your doubt. The course materials for teaching are very good covering all the topics nicely. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry ready. We know that the Indian Education System doesn't have the curriculum which makes the students completely ready, but whatever it is, it withstands with the IIT curriculum. The semester exams are good. They’re neither very hard nor too easy, it’s just your preparation. The passing percentage is decent enough.

Other: I want to join the government sector which is why I took admission in civil, as this branch provides the best exposure for government exams. The faculty is really very good and supportive, they provide you with all the relevant information for your career’s growth. I think the professors need to convey the scope of civil engineering to the students so that they try to get placed in the core area. Bitotsav is the biggest cultural fest which is most awaited, and is of course worth the wait. Scholarship is provided on the basis of merit and there are lots of events going on round the year covering different areas.

It is a good college with good placements.

Placements: Our college provides good placements with an average salary package of 11 LPA - 12 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. All branches provide good placements. It is difficult to good placements in core companies. Students from core branches such as civil, mechanical, biotech, and chemical have not received satisfactory placements. They got placed in the IT sector.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities. Hostels are not good. Our college provides good infrastructure. The main buildings and other course buildings are great. We have well-maintained classrooms and labs. Some hostels are old. They have shared rooms. Our labs are fully equipped with the latest equipment, allowing for hands-on practical learning experiences.

Faculty: All courses are the best and updated regularly to current standards. Exams are conducted well. They test students' knowledge.

Other: Fests are very good in our college compared to IITs and NITs.

Can I get admission in Mesra with 48 marks in Mains?

Admission to B.Tech in BIT Mesra is done on the basis of AIR in JEE Mains through CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) / JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Candidates must meet eligibility criteria and apply for the programme.
