More theoretical knowledge than practical is provided. There are no on-campus placements.

Placements: There are no on-campus placements. You have to find companies and jobs yourself. The course is good but you will only get a degree from here. After that you are on your own. The practical knowledge is good. Teachers are helpful in finding internships, and getting to know the use of tools and software.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average not that good and not that bad either. But the conditions of labs and computer are horrible because nobody uses them. About the hostel, food is good, but the fellow hostelmates are not that helpful and kind. The staff is not that good and is over strict.

Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and skilled. There are regular classes, so you will learn if you are curious to learn. Exams are at an average level, not that difficult if you have studied, of course. The passing percentage is 33%. Teachers teach theoretical as well as practical approaches. Teaching quality is good. There are no extra course curriculum like webinars or seminars.

Other: I chose bioinformatics because it is different, and I am also keen on different things. The best thing about bioinformatics is that it is a connection between biology and computer science so it's like you are studying two different subjects at the same time. The thing that I would like to improve is the awareness and approach regarding this course. There are no fests in our university, no events as such. Scholarships are also very less.
