Admissions to the Central University of Kerala MSc course are primarily based on the merit obtained in CUET-PG. The aspirants must initially register and appear for the CUET-PG entrance test. The candidates must thereafter register on the admission portal of the Central University of Kerala after the declaration of results and fill out the online application form. A merit list is prepared based on the CUET marks. Shortlisted candidates must also report for fee payment, documentation verification, and counseling to complete their admission.

1. M.Sc. ZOOLOGY : B.Sc. in Zoology (studied in 10+2+3 system) with Botany and Chemistry/Biochemistry as subsidiary subjects or any subject under Life Sciences with Zoology as a Major/Core/ Equal Optional subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate and also in the concerned subject seperately, from a recognised University. Up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates.The candidates should not have completed 25 years of age as on 01.07.2022.
2. M.Sc. BIOCHEMISTRY : B.Sc. with Chemistry/Biochemistry/any subject under Life Sciences with Chemistry/Biochemistry as a Major/Core/ Equal Optional subject (studied in 10+2+3 system) with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate and also in the concerned subject seperately, from a recognised University. Up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates.The candidates should not have completed 25 years of age as on 01.07.2022.
3. M.Sc. CHEMISTRY : B.Sc. Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate and also for Science subjects, with Chemistry as the main or one of the main subjects (studied in 10 + 2 +3 system). Up to 5 % relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates. The candidates should not have completed 25 years of age as on 01.07.2022.

To be eligible for the Master of Science (MSc) programme at the Central University of Kerala, the candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution/university with a minimum aggregate mark of 50%. The course admission will be based on performance in the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate Programmes (CUET-PG).

In terms of placements, the University has maintained a decent track record. The official placement report or brochure is yet to be released. As per the data gathered from the NIRF report 2024, 156 out of 818 PG (2-year) graduates were placed in 2023. Earlier, 234 out of 803 students were placed in the 2022 drive. The University has released the median package details in the NIRF report 2024. During 2023 placements, the median package offered to PG (2-year) students was INR 3.26 LPA. Earlier, the median package offered in 2022 was INR 4.80 LPA. Looking at the past three years' records (2021 to 2023), a fluctuating trend was observed in the median package of PG (2-year) courses. Central University of Kerala admissions are held on the basis of entrance tests. The various entrance exams are prescribed as per the specific course choice. Students achieving 85% can certainly apply for admission at CU Kerala, however, they must note that they must still appear for the entrance exam. Accepted exams include CUET, CUET-PG, KMAT Kerala, etc.

Central University of Kerala CUET PG cutoff 2024 has been announced. The Round 1 cutoff for CUET PG ranged between 1 and 136, wherein, the most competitive course is M.A.in Kannada for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course is M.A. in Economics.
