A detailed comparison of the M.Sc. programs at SOGS, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), and Christ University Bangalore must take into account a number of variables as well as your individual objectives. Select the university whose research areas and specialty match your preferences. This is especially crucial in domains like Science and technology. Resources in Libraries: Examine the relevance and quality of online databases and journals, as well as other library resources, that are pertinent to your area. Career and Placement Opportunities: Placement Information: Verify the M.Sc. placement records of the universities for graduates in your field of study. Grow and learn with Christ University.
Placements: The college genuinely supported us in training for placement interviews. However, fewer companies visited our campus. This was possibly because the placement cell focused more on IT companies or due to lower hiring. I secured two internships during the summer internship program. After several interviews and clearing four rounds, I was placed in a good MNC. Research companies offered decent salaries. The average was 5.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: I love the college environment; it’s very relaxing. Each department has a separate block, and our Chemistry department has well-maintained organic and synthetic chemistry labs, with all experimental instruments neatly arranged. The classrooms are spacious with projectors, green boards, and comfortable seating. We also have a large library. Since I’m from Bangalore, I didn’t opt for the hostel, but my friends either live in the hostel or rent flats. The hostel is strict, so many prefer rented rooms. We have a big sports ground and dedicated courts for basketball, volleyball, and cricket.
Faculty: Teachers in the Chemistry department were very supportive and prepared us for industry roles. Most of the teachers held PhDs and were experts in their subjects. Teaching was mostly project-based. Topics were explained through PPTs. The semester exams were moderately difficult. Both internal and term exams were conducted by the university.

Not satisfied with placement assistance 2022 batch .
Placements: We do not get the placement assistance we expect. They offer some jobs in pharmaceutical companies such as Cipla, Lupin, Alpeshall, Sun Pharma, and more. However, I can say that less hiring was done for our batch. Only 58% of students were placed through campus drives. I got a job as an assistant professor through a reference from my brother, so I can say the college did not help me find a job. We cannot blame the college entirely; nowadays, getting a job has become difficult. We can do a 3-month internship but need to approach companies on our own.
Infrastructure: Christ is known for its campus life and events. In some areas, there are jammers on campus, making it difficult to make emergency calls. Christ has good facilities, such as no Wi-Fi but WLAN cables for laptops. The labs are well-furnished, and all the chemicals needed for experiments are available in the labs. Christ has many libraries, but the collection of books in the main library is huge, with many reference books on Chemistry. During my first year, I stayed in the Christ hostel. It was a good experience; despite the difficulties in the hostel, it ultimately became a set of beautiful memories. I liked the mess food at Christ; it is good in taste. On the sports ground, there are M.Ed kits for injury treatment.
Faculty: I personally think teachers should be like guides, but there are some teachers who hold grudges, and it reflects on internal marks and attendance issues. They are very strict about the college uniform. The Chemistry course is good, but it is going to end at Christ; we are one of the last batches of M.Sc. Chemistry. In my opinion, the course still needs some changes. Just like others, we also have a semester pattern with 2 semesters in a year. 100 marks are assigned to every subject. The exams are not difficult.
Other: The college is the best in events, extracurricular activities, and fests; there are so many activities every month. I think Christ needs to look into the root causes I mentioned in my review.

Great institution and brings out the best in you.
Placements: The department provided the placements as per the students choice. Mostly, the choice was made between institutions (teaching) or industries. Many reputed industries had come last year like Sabik, Anthem biosciences and some startups like Aten, Porous, and Life Sciences. Overall, the placements were good.
Infrastructure: The campus is green and beautiful. One of the best infrastructure you'll find in Bangalore. It's maintained well by the staff and students. It's a big institution thus to accommodate such huge number of canteens are high with good quality food which matches almost everyone's taste.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified, that's one basic criterion followed by the institute. But in case of the department of chemistry, though all the teachers are qualified, there is still a lag in teaching. It's average when it comes to the teaching capabilities.
Other: The college is a strict institution but with great opportunities. Christ trains you for a great career. There are some amount of opportunities given to the student, and it exposes the student well to the crowd and builds a good personality in the student. There are many seminars and other co-curricular activities happening almost every day. This could be in the form of talent hunts or quizzes etc. There are many fests which happen throughout the year and participation in some are compulsory. This brings out the best in students. There are ethnic days and other dance festivals which is the best attraction at Christ. Overal, it's a great experience.

The exposure provided by the college is the worth experiencing.
Placements: The college has the number of major industries and international schools coming in. The major industries are Anthem BioSciences, Aten Porus, Biocon etc., visit the campus. Since both industry and institutes come, the students are decisive on what they want next. The salary ranges depend on the companies coming in and the job profile. As seen from the previous experience, the schools offer better pay than the industries for the obvious reasons.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in Christ is one of the best seen in Bangalore. Though the college is situated in the heart of the city and is surrounded by the major roads around, on entering the college, and there is nothing peaceful. All the noise and chaos is shut out by the beautiful trees, birds, and the water bodies. The buildings are well-equipped with the Wi-Fi and the elevators, where needed and are friendly to differently able students and staff.
Faculty: The faculty members are extremely knowledgeable, and most are passionate about teaching. Some others are extremely passionate towards research and encourage the students into the research. This is the perfect combination since the students should be exposed to both kinds of experience. The teaching methods used depend on the teacher. However, he/she feels comfortable or necessary for a certain batch of students. Since the faculty members had a lot of research experience that came with the previous years of working in the industries, and contacts are not a thing that the students will have an issue with.
