CUSAT admission to Integrated BSc-MSc programme is based on CUSAT CAT score. CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test is a computer-based test conducted for shortlisting aspirants for admission to various courses. After completion of selection rounds, CUSAT releases a rank list based on total marks secured in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. A separate rank list is released for selected Integrated BSc-MSc specialisation. Based on the rank list, aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round.

The total tuition fee for CUSAT MSc ranges between INR 5,000 and INR 2 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Shortlisted candidates need to pay the course fee after completion of the selection rounds to confirm their seat. Apart from tuition fee, the total fee structure includes library fee, lab fee, caution deposit, etc.

Apart from the course fee, aspirants also need to pay a registration fee. The registration fee for General is INR 1,100. For Kerala SC/ ST candidates, there is a relaxation in the application fee.

CUSAT is an autonomous university owned by the state government. CUSAT has been ranked 34 among the top Universities in India and 51 in the Overall category by NIRF 2024. Cochin University of Science and Technology Kochi is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). CUSAT courses include 24 Undergraduate (UG), 55 Postgraduate (PG) and 9 MPhil and 28 PhD programmes in various streams. CUSAT conducts CAT (Common Admission Test) for admissions to programmes like Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Marine Sciences, Humanities, Science, Medical Sciences & Technology, and Social Sciences and Technology. CUSAT CAT is a computer-based test. The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked in the exam. Candidates can take this test by applying online through the university website. The CUSAT CAT 2025 exam date will be released along with the official brochure. Candidates who will appear for the exam must refer to the CUSAT 2025 syllabus and exam pattern for their preparations.
