Our college is a good learning platform.

Placements: Placements were good in our college. 70% of students were placed in our course. The highest package was 9 LPA. The lowest package was 4 LPA, offered in our course. Some of our friends were interested in business, and some were placed in good companies in roles like HR and Recruiter.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good in our college. Our college management provided good facilities like free Wi-Fi connectivity, digital classrooms, and a well-structured library with a good number of books that were useful to us. The quality of food and facilities in our hostel was good.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful to us. Teachers were well-qualified Ph.D. staff with good knowledge. They explained subjects clearly. They were very helpful in clearing doubts with good explanations. The semester exams were easy to moderate. Pass percentage for the semester was 75%.

Only study if you need CUSAT University and can study without any college-life entertainment.

Placements: Placements are jointly held on both CUSAT campuses. So the placements are the same as the CUSAT main campus. I think it has good placement companies. In previous years, around 70% of students were placed, as per the details provided on the college notice boards. Most placements are in the IT and CS divisions.

Infrastructure: It's a basic village college. No hostel is provided by the college. So we need to find homestay- or hostel-type accommodation. It's not much better. Only 1–2 hostels are good, while the rest have some kind of problems like water and food. The college infrastructure is bad. It has old computers, old labs, and no renovation. Some departments have no teaching staff.

Faculty: Faculty members are good for my CS division. I don't know about others, but I hope they are good. Exams are just normal college exams, but result publication is bad and takes too much time. The curriculum is okay and not updated to the latest, but it is okay. Teachers are all professional. I think the overall pass percentage without failing in a single subject is around 30–40%.

Other: I chose this college because of university name, CUSAT, and thought it was a great university. The main campus is great, but the CUCEK campus is not as good as the main campus. There are main festival events in our college as well. They are not bad. The campus surroundings are bad because it is not a city college, and the surrounding area is less active.

Placements: Around 10–20% of EEE students are placed through campus recruitment in recent batches. The highest package is around 10–12 LPA in rare cases. The average package is about 4–4.5 LPA, and the lowest package is around 3–3.5 LPA. Around 10–15% of EEE students secure internships. The top roles offered are Electrical Technician and Test Engineer.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is partially available on the campus. The EEE department does not have well-developed laboratories. The equipment used is old. Some classrooms are spacious with projectors, but others are not well developed. Chairs and tables are not in good condition. Separate hostels are for boys and girls with basic amenities such as furnished rooms. Overall, hostel quality is generally average. Food quality is considered average and sometimes below average. The campus canteen offers snacks, tea, and meals. Nearby hospitals are easily accessible in Chengannur for emergencies.

Faculty: Some teachers are good, while others are bad. Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but some do not know how to present the subject effectively. Compared to the CSE department, the Electrical department faculty are only average. The semester exams are conducted by KTU and are not very difficult. The pass percentage for EEE is around 80–90%.

Other: No fest or event. The only events taking place here are those conducted by different forums. They are purely technical. If someone needs to enjoy their college life, there is no need to come here. The college also has very few festivals.

Placements: About 80 percent of students got placed. The package depends on the company they got placed at (approximately greater than 5 LPA). The top recruiting company is TCE but many more companies are there. About 95 percent of students got internships. Mainly they go to renowned institutions like NIT, NEST, IIT, etc. Roles offered are environment consultant, scientists, and data analyst.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Highly maintained lab facilities are available. Classrooms have enough air and light (suitable for studying). The department has a library. CUSAT has a very large infrastructure library available. Good facility hostels are available.

Faculty: All our professors are PhD graduates. Teachers are very helpful. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable, 10 out of 10 teaching quality. The course curriculum is very relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate level not too difficult. If we study well we can secure a good grade and we can maintain a good CGPA. The pass percentage is 40 percent.

Other: Many of them were interested in the environmental field and they wanted to excel in this field. The best thing about this course is that it's not a popular course, it's a rare one. Nothing wants to improve everything is fine. Events, fest, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship, and extracurricular activities are awesome.

Best Option for M.Tech Instrumentation Technology.

Placements: Only 60% students got placement. The average package is around 4-7 LPA. Reliance, L&T, and Vedanta Limited are the top recruiting companies. Most of the students got internships in Reliance, FACT, Tata Consulting Engineers, etc. A post-graduate engineer trainee position is the role offered by the companies for our course.

Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure offered by our university is very good. There is Wi-Fi access, structured labs for research works, and the classrooms are very calm and clean. We also have a library in our department, and we have a central library in our university. The facilities are fine, and the quality of the food in the mess and also in the canteen was good, and they are very much affordable, and also we have a medical centre in our amenity centre and sports facilities, and also games are available in our university.

Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable people, and they are very helpful and calm, and they are highly qualified. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is more industry-related. The semester exams are moderately difficult, but a regular class student can confidently clear the exams. The pass percentage is generally high.

Other: I chose M.Teach Instrumentation Technology at CUSAT because it is more affordable, industry-related, and technically relevant. The course syllabus is more student-friendly, which is the best part of this course. They can improve the lab facilities for M.Teach students. There are so many technical fests, sports activities, university arts, and extracurricular activities in our university. And also we have scholarships like Egrants.

A great campus but it has poor hostel facilities.

Placements: Around 70% of students in CSE have been placed. The highest package is 43 Lacs per annum, and the lowest and average is 6.55 LPA. The top recruiters are TCS, BPCL, Infosys, and HashedIn. The internship statistics are not clear. The top roles offered are software engineer, full stack developer, cyber security analyst, data analyst, and systems engineer.

Infrastructure: While the infrastructure available to the department is very good, the hostels are average at best. The department has at their disposal facilities like at least 6-7 different computer labs, each for different purposes like a networking lab, DSA lab, operating systems lab, etc. Each of these labs is equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The classrooms are average size and fit around 50 people at a time. Standard stuff like smartboards and projectors are available. The department has one library that contains all the academic materials required for the students. The quality of hostel, food, and sports facilities is not that great.

Faculty: The teachers are super helpful and have a lot of industry knowledge that helps the students become industry-ready. The curriculum is updated from time to time to remain up to date. The teaching quality is really good. The semester exams are not too hard, not too easy. They actually test a student's knowledge. The pass percentage is really good, especially in the CSE department. The course has a pass percentage of 97, to be exact.

Other: I chose this course due to my love for technology. The best things about my course are, without a doubt, the teachers and my friends. The hostel facilities and food require a huge upgrade. But other than that, everything else is manageable. The campus hosts a lot of amazing events and fests with a great crowd for networking. The campus is spread across 180 acres with beautiful greenery. Scholarships are given to very few people based on income and reservations. There are a lot of clubs present on campus where we can learn and explore.
