AKTU acccepts IPU CET apart from other exams, for admission to BTech courses. The last-round closing ranks for admission were out. To get admission to BTech via IPU CET, the General AI category candidate must have a rank under 151726 for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering. For BTech in Information Technology, the rank must be below 154086 among the General AI category. Evidently, it is possible to get admission to for BTech at 150000 rank in IPU CET. 

AKTU has recorded good placements for its Institute of Engineering and Technology. As per the report, the highest package offered in 2024 was 53 LPA. The off-campus highest package was 112 LPA. IET recorded average package of 8.2 LPA in 2024.

AKTU is a state-level, public collegiate university. Formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), it is a University of National Importance, specially for the UG and PG courses offered in the field of Engineering and Science. AKTU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Coming to the AKTU placements, the university has not released the placement report for the year 2023. However, as per media reports, 1,531 students were selected in TCS. A total of 318 students were placed with a package of INR 7.60 LPA in TCS Digital and rest 1,213 students were placed with a package of INR 3.60 LPA in TCS Ninja during AKTU placement 2023.

MBA is one of the top courses of AKTU. AKTU offers MBA at campus through the Institute of Engineering & Technology, UP Institute of Design and Faculty of Management Studies. Students pursuing MBA from AKTU have a chance of getting placed in top companies. The university conducts placement drive every year. As per media reports,  1,531 students were selected in TCS. AKTU JEE Main Cutoff was released for various BTech and other courses. The cutoff was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks for different categories under the All India and Home State quota. Overall, the most in-demand specialisation was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. The last-round closing rank for BTech in CSE among the General AI category was 30752.6. 

MBA is a two-year course comprising of four semesters. The university offers MBA at campus through the Institute of Engineering & Technology,  UP Institute of Design and Faculty of Management Studies. The university also offers MBA through 70+ affiliated colleges including Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET), Kashi Institute of Technology, Lloyd Business School, etc. MBA is offered in various specialisations at the PG level. The total tuition fee for MBA at AKTU and affiliated college ranges between INR 70,000 and INR 6.5 Lacs as per an unofficial source.

AKTU provides the B.Tech degree with 41 different specializations

Duration - four years.

• AKTU takes an entrance exam viz. UPSEE for entry in the B.Tech courses.
• AKTU also approves 20% of aspirants based on JEE Main score as per the State Government criteria.

Eligibility norm -

 Candidates should have finished their 12th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 45% marks or more ( 40% score or more SC/ST) from an identified board.

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India u/s 12 of The Pharmacy Act, securing a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate can apply for the course can apply for AKTU BPharm course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

The application fees for JEE Main is written below

• INR 1,000 for Male unreserved, OBC, EWS category candidates
• INR 800 for Female unreserved/OBC/EWS category candidates
• INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category candidates

Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU accepts UPTAC, CUET-PG for admission to its MBA course. To be eligible for the course, the candidate must have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in any relevant field from any recognized university/institute. 

The colleges affiliated to AKTU accepts IPUCET exam for admission to UG and PG courses. The basic criteria to get into AKTU through IPUCET exam is to have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in class 12 and for PG courses, the minimum aggregate 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree. So, if you are securing a percentile of 72 in class 12th, it is more than enough to appear for IPUCET to get into AKTU.

According to IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) placement report 2024, more than 60% students were placed. A total 10 international offers and 44 PPOs were made in 2024. 382 students were placed as well. The highest on-campus and off-campus package offered was 53 LPA and 112 LPA.
