The placement drive for the 2024 season at Guwahati University has ended, but the placement report is still pending.However, Guwahati University Institute of Science and Technology placement brochure has been released. As per the brochure. The highest package recorded at GUIST was INR 12 LPA. The average and the median package recorded during GUIST placements 2024 was INR 7.35 LPA and INR 6.42 LPA. In contrast, the NIRF report for 2025 has been published. A total of 592 students achieved placements during Guwahati University placements 2024.
- Overall 38 UG 3-year students were placed during GUwahati University placements, the average package reached INR 4.50 LPA.
- A total of 89 students were placed from the other UG 4-year courses, the median package for whom also stood at INR 5.35 LPA.

Guwahati University Placement Report 2025
A total of 120 UG 3-year students were a part of the placement season, out of which 38 students were placed, with a median package of INR 4.50 LPA. During the 2024 Guwahati University placement season, a total of 89 UG 4-year students were placed out of 128 students. The median salary offered in 2024 was INR 5.35 LPA per annum for four-year undergraduate students. Compared to 2023, the median salary for four-year undergraduate programs increased from INR 5.25 LPA to INR 5.35 LPA,. Out of 58 UG 5-year students 19 were placed with a median package of INR 4.15 LPA.
In all 405 students from PG 2-year were placed during Guwahati University placements 2024 with a median package of INR 9.50 LPA. In 2023 the median package for PG 2-year program stood at INR 8.70 LPA representing an increase of 9.19% . Out of 21 PG 3-year students 20 secured job placements with a median package of INR 7.25 LPA. PG 3-year students witnessed a decrease of 3.33 % in the median package since 2023. For the integrated PG 5-year program 58 students took part out of which 21 were placed. The median package for PG 5-year stood at INR 4.65 LPA
