GJUST MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025

MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. GJUST offers MBA in six specialisations at the PG level. The university conducts an entrance exam for shortlisting aspirants for MBA course. GJUST also accepts national-level entrance exam for admission to MBA course.

Additionally, Directorate of Distance Education, GJU offers MBA for a duration of two years in distance education mode. Aspirants who have completed graduation with at least 50% aggregate (47.5% aggregate for SC candidates of Haryana) can apply for MBA in distance education mode.

Eligibility: A pass in graduation with at least 50% aggregate (pass marks for SC candidates of Haryana) is required to apply for GJUST MBA course. Candidates who have studied Mathematics at secondary level/ equivalent level or at graduation level/ equivalent level will be given preference for admission to MBA course, if seats remain vacant.

My college is good but many things need to improve.

Placements: 70-80% of students got placed easily, but only in sales and marketing-related jobs in the banking sector. The highest package offer was up to 4 LPA, starting from 3 LPA minimum. Top recruiting companies are Axis Bank and life insurance sector-related. Almost every student got an internship online and offline in both modes, as it is very crucial for the MBA program. Finance executive, product development, and export import executive are some of the roles students were offered.

Infrastructure: There is a well-equipped library with a wide variety of books. Computer labs are available, and there are five or six dining halls and canteens on campus. All types of food are available, and medical support is provided on a timely basis. In addition, weekly games and shows are held.

Faculty: The teachers are nice. Some were very knowledgeable and practical. They made sure we were ready for the job market and helped us understand the practical aspects of the industry. The course curriculum was relevant, but students need to study hard as this is a local campus. Exams were easy, as 80-85% of the material came from the coursework.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn about finance, logistics, and export/import. I am now working in the finance sector. However, I think the teachers should focus more on providing practical experience instead of theoretical knowledge. On the plus side, the college holds many events every week, such as Diwali and Holi fairs, which help students boost their confidence.

Placements: 80 percent of students are placed in MBA marketing, and another one started preparation for the banking exam based on MBA marketing. The highest package is 8 lakh per annum and the lowest package is 3 lakh per annum; the average is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Gujarat Gas Limited, HDFC Bank, etc.

Infrastructure: There are all the facilities available in college, like free Wi-Fi, highly-equipped labs, a classroom with projector and a full-AC-fitted room. The hostels are very decent according to the hostel fee they charge, with 1 room allotted to 4 students. The water supply is good in the hostel, but the hostel food is not too good.

Faculty: All faculty members are very helpful in study and in any personal life query for career growth. The semester exams are at a moderate level. Students can prepare for the exam very easily by reading books suggested by their teacher. This course prepares students well for the corporate world.

Other: I chose this course to pursue my career in marketing in a bank as a marketing officer, as selected by the IBPS SO exam. In university, there are lots of events, such as a festival held in a good auditorium and PMS scholarships provided to SC students.

Placements: Students become eligible for campus placements in MBA after their 3rd-semester. There are many recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, and Walmart. More than 60% of students get placements and internships at ONGC, Bokaro, HPCL, IOCL, BCCL, CCL, DVC, NIC, Government of India, Mecon Ranchi, Bokaro Diary, Comfort Dhanbad, various IIT research centers, Dalmia Cement, and Bharat Limited.

Infrastructure: Library is very good with many books. Hostel facility is very good with well-maintained rooms that provide 24 hours electricity and fresh water. It serves very good quality food.

Faculty: All the faculty members in our college are well qualified, skilled, and have corporate exposure. Exams are conducted on time. Teaching can be rated 10 out of 10.

Other: I chose this course to enhance my marketing ability and build leadership skills. This course provides many job opportunities. Our college conducts annual fest which includes sports fest and cultural fest. It organises a tech fest which is known as TCS tech fest.

Placements: Students are eligible for campus placements from 2nd year of their course. Profit Plus and CATs finance companies visit our college to offer placements. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA and the average salary package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Around 50-60% of students get placements. I plan to setup a business.

Infrastructure: Library is very good with books and journals. Sports like football, cricket, rifle shooting, etc., are available. Hostels are clean.

Faculty: There is a teacher for every 100 students. Teachers in our college are well qualified with MBA from reputed colleges. Term exams are held for every 2 to 3 months which are not difficult.

Other: I chose this course because I have interest in business and entrepreneurship. Annual fest is conducted in October or November every year. There are no social groups.

GJUST student unravels its mysteries.

Placements: There are two placement seasons: summer and Finals. Summers take place in the initial 3 months of the FMS MBA and Finals happen in the 3rd and the 4th semester. The average placement at FMS Delhi stood at 32.4 LPA as of 2022. The campus recorded 100% placements last year.

Infrastructure: GJUST hosts table tennis, badminton, and a basketball court for sports activities so far. It uses the DU Gym facilities for both cricket and football training. It also hosts a number of debate clubs, filmmaking, dramatics music, etc. But a lack of infrastructure limits what these can do and is one of its the biggest cons.

Faculty: The curriculum is the same as any MBA college. Why I chose the course Because it is FMS, of course. There are 23 permanent and more than a dozen guest faculty, which means that there are sufficient teachers for a college with 2 batches of 280 students each. All of our faculty have Ph.D. from reputed institutes, and guest faculty bring the additional benefit of coming with decades of work experience in the real field. Exams are easy to pass. They seem a little untimely only after the summer placement process of the first semester. Although there is ample preparation time, I guess we are just tired after the process.
