Beautiful campus with good teachers and good canteen food.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed. The placement fee was only Rs. 7,500 per year. There were no recruitment opportunities provided by the college. The top roles offered in my course were mostly in the banking sector, Chartered Accountancy, etc. Students who preferred to do this course could easily get a job in the banking sector.
Infrastructure: The college was overall good, with most facilities. We had projectors to make learning easy, along with a widespread library and all computer equipment. The canteen food was also very nice, and medical facilities were good. As for games, the college used to participate in many indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: Teachers were well-trained and always helpful. The teaching quality was perfect and very understandable. The course was relevant, and it was not difficult to pass the exams. We used to have a pass percentage of more than 90%. Moreover, this course allowed us to write answers in our own words, unlike others.

It is a good college overall.
Placements: More than 40 percent of students got placed. The average salary offered was around Rs. 10,000 per month. Companies like Cipla recruited students, although I do not remember many company names. Overall, placements were decent.
Infrastructure: My college had good infrastructure with clean classrooms. Along with well-equipped labs, campus Wi-Fi, and a hygienic canteen with affordable food. There was no hostel facility. But the campus environment was comfortable and suitable for learning.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and explained concepts clearly. The curriculum was relevant and provided basic industry knowledge. Semester exams were moderately difficult if students studied regularly. The pass percentage was generally good.
Other: I enjoyed my time here a lot. I chose this course because of my interest in the field and future career opportunities. The best part was the practical learning and supportive faculty. I wished there had been more industrial visits and workshops. The campus also had good events, activities, and connectivity. The infrastructure and seat availability were also good.

I am satisfied and happy.
Placements: The course is 4.5 years long. It includes 4 years of study. There is also a compulsory 6-month internship. During the internship, we receive a stipend. After the internship, we need to complete a compulsory bond service. The bond period is 1 year. During this period, we also get paid. The internship stipend is around Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 8,000 per month. The salary during the bond service is around Rs. 20,000 per month. After completing this 1-year bond service, we can apply for a job in the same hospital. We can also apply to other private hospitals in India. Government hospitals are another option.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are clean. They are well-maintained and student-friendly. The college has a big library. All the required books are available there. The college has different laboratories. These include histology, anatomy, & physiology labs. These labs are used for practical classes. Hostels are available for both boys and girls. They are located on the campus itself. The food served in the canteen is good and healthy. There are different clubs. These include sports, music, dance, and art clubs. The washrooms are also very clean. They are well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are kind and supportive. Most of them are highly qualified in their respective fields. They are knowledgeable. They are always ready to clear our doubts. The course is relevant. It prepares students for their future careers as healthcare professionals. Difficulty level is moderate to difficult. Students have to score at least 50% in each subject separately to pass the exam.
Other: Honestly, I chose this course because I love helping people. I also love taking care of them. After joining this course, I realised how important life is. I see many people fighting for their lives in hospitals. This has made me realise that healing takes time. It also requires consistency. I wish the stipend would increase to at least Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month. Plexus is the main event organised by our college. Some students also participate in inter-college sports competitions. Others participate in dance and singing competitions.

Review of V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education.
Placements: Established hotel brands, such as Taj, Marriott, and Accor, among others, visit the campus recruitment placements. It explore further work opportunities in India for their Management Trainee programs. Everyone from my batch finds their internship with the help of the institute.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities provided by the institute are outstanding. They are up to date with the ever-growing world of hospitality. They are essential for working in the world’s finest hotels and establishments. Classrooms having a smart TV, projector, laptop, and speaker. Library has a wide collection of books that are updated every few weeks. It is vast to help students learn in depth about different subjects, ranging from Food Production to Hospitality Law, and other important books that are relevant to the course. Food is hygienically prepared, nutritious, and delicious. The hostel is also well equipped with furniture.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified to teach their subjects, both theoretically and practically. The curriculum is very relevant to the hospitality industry as it teaches day-to-day operational knowledge that is vital in becoming a good hotelier. Important subjects like Food and Beverages Control, Consumer Behavior, and Food Microbiology are good examples. The semester exams are good as they depend on the student’s interest in the subjects, so the difficulty is not much. A lot of industry visits, trips to rural villages, and meetings with hospitality professionals are also inculcated in the course.
Other: I chose this course as I know I have an idea of becoming a chef in the future, but I need help with molding and developing my personality, attitude, and skills to become the best version of myself. The course never feels repetitive as every aspect considers discipline, knowledge, etiquette, and giving your best. Many student-based events take place, such as cultural nights, food festivals, and theme dinners. Many more examples that test the student based on aptitude and adaptability. The campus life itself is very friendly, well-mannered, and disciplined.
