Gujarat University provides scholarships to the lower backward class or SC/ ST for better education and financial support. More than 30 scholarship schemes initiated by the Government of Gujarat are covered by Gujarat University. For developing high-quality research Government of Gujarat has initated a scheme called SHODH (scheme of developing high-quality research ) to offer  financial assistance to students doing qualitative research.
