GNDU offers admission as per notification issued by Punjab Government. The University offers admission to its UG and PG courses on the basis of both merit and entrance-based. Admission to most of the courses is based on candidates performance in the Hence, the university does not offer direct admission. The University accepts several entrance exams for admission to a few  undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Given below are some of the course-wise entrance exams accepted for Guru Nanak Dev University course admissions: 

Candidates seeking admission to GNDU UG Diploma programme must meet the eligibility criteria. Hence, the applicant should be a Class 12 or equivalent pass from a recognised board. The university admits candidates based on their performance in the last qualifying examination. Applications are accepted by the university via online mode. This course is included under the four-year BSc course and candidates exiting the course after two-year are awarded with UG Diploma.
