Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, also known as HITS, was established in 1985 and is located in Kelambakkan, Chennai. Hindustan University offers a three-year LLB course as a professional program. This course is approved by the Bar Council through the School of Law. The total tuition fee for the BTech course ranges between INR 1.8 Lakhs to INR 13 lakhs. Apart from this, the candidate also has to pay hostel and one-time fee to pursue BTech course at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science commonly known as Hindustan University.

HITS admit candidates to its BTech courses through HITSEEE counselling. However, it may grant admission through TNEA counselling as well. In 2024, the TNEA last round closing rank was 19791 for BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It is for the candidates belonging to general All-India category candidates. The closing rank further shows that competition has got low as the closing rank was 2295 in 2023.
