The PhD admission process at IIITD begins with the online application. Eligible candidates can apply online on the official website. The detailed application process is explained below:

STEP 2: Shortlisting of Students & Interview Round
The institute shortlists candidates based on merit in the PG degree course. Shortlisted candidates can be informed over mail or a common selection list can be released. The BTech course at IIIT Delhi is offered to candidates on the basis of their JEE Mains scores. It is not possible to get admission to IIIT Delhi without appearing for the entrance exam as it is an essential part of the selection process. Candidates must also have a minimum of 75% aggregate in their Class 12 to be eligible for the four-year BTech course at IIIT Delhi.
The technology institute admits candidates to PhD courseson merit and respective entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are GATE/ UGC NET/CSIR NET. Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores are then invited for the interview round for final selections.
