My experience at IIMT University.
Placements: No student in our batch was placed due to covid situations but good placements had been seen in other courses. A good amount of companies visited our campus for placements like Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, etc. Technical skills were provided well. Placement and interview skills were also been taught.
Infrastructure: Wheelchair was accessible at our university. The college had a good infrastructure and greenery all around the campus with lift facilities available. Safe and furnished hostels were available with proper security. Several labs had been provided on the basis of required equipment and machinery. Cleanliness was also been taken care of.
Faculty: I was not highly satisfied with the frequent faculty substitution. But also appreciate the efforts put in by some of the good faculty members in terms of academics as well as motivation. Sports-related activities were also taken care of. Guest and alumni sessions were also provided both online and offline.
Other: The fees of the college were more as per the facilities. Campus life was good and full of enjoyment.

IIMT University is worse if you are looking for life sciences and technology.
Placements: Never got a placement opportunity in our field from college. We go for marketing jobs after doing microbiology and then also, the worst companies come during placement. Don't expect a job from the university, they will not even educate you.
Infrastructure: Only placement cell looks beautiful. The classes look like those in a government college. They may look better and washrooms stink. The doors and the flush are not working. We have a water cooler but you can't the water because it smells and tastes bad. The fans and the tube lights do not work properly.
Faculty: Non-supporting dean and HOD always make rules for students and when we are in trouble, they say we can't do anything. You have to pay fees on the date given and not extend the days. If you talk to your HOD, they will say that they can't help and you have to pay no matter if there is a family problem or anything like that.
Other: Only rules for students but no education is provided by the university. Everyday substitution most of the time.

The placement policy is very bad and the department is not supportive.
Placements: Students with any percentage can be placed in the course. A very low salary package is being offered in our course. Companies that came into the college are not as good as expected. No role is being provided by the college as well as by the department. No value is given.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also good. But the labs are the worst.
Faculty: Faculty members of our department and college are very good and supportive. They teach us in a proper manner. They give us proper notes and also give us proper knowledge about our careers and about our life. Semester exams are easy as per the preparation of the candidate.
Other: There is a very huge scope in the field of microbiology.

Review of IIMT University.
Placements: There are no placements related to our field. A management and sales company approach us with a salary package of 1to 2 LPA with a bond of 6 months. Placements are not up to mark and there are no industry visits or internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fine but the labs are not proper. All instruments are not available. Many types of chemicals and glassware are also not there. They provide free Wi-Fi service and canteen service is average and food is eatable. The campus crowd is normal.
Faculty: Faculty is supportive and helpful. They provide proper guidance and notes. There is no discrimination between students. Maintain proper disciple and a healthy relationship with students. There is a proper mentorship in the department.
Other: If you didn't want to leave Meerut and want to pursue a course in life Science then go for it.

Review of IIMT University.
Placements: Only 2 or 3 companies come for placements, and they do not hire students. Only 1% of students are hired after B.Sc, and no students get internships because they do not provide NOC during the semester for projects, training, and internships. A job fair happens on the campus every year, and students will be able to give interviews with many companies. The top recruiting companies are Pritam industry, Varun beverages, many pharma companies, etc. Only 1% of students after B.Sc must do M.Sc. for good companies.
Infrastructure: In this college, laboratory facilities are not good. Either they do not have the material, and if they have there are 70% of chances that it is expired. Practicals are not performed well. Few practicals are performed greatly like testing of blood, preparing media, etc. They have instruments like an autoclave, water bath, vortex mixer, incubator, laminar air flow, etc. The infrastructure is fine. Classrooms, laboratories, and libraries are fine.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but there is no management at all on the campus. They are knowledgeable but they are given out of their field subjects to teach. It does not make students industry-ready, and students have to find projects, training, and internships outside this university if they want to learn something. Semester exams are good, if students study well, then they will pass easily.
Other: The best thing about this course is that I have lots of opportunities after this, in the food industry, in pharmacy, in laboratories, in research, and a lot more. I wish I could utilize my semester-end breaks in internships and training. Online seminars do occur with outside campus teachers. The campus crowd is like every other college crowd, a mixed bunch of students. Scholarships are provided. There are many extracurricular activities in this college.

The college is normal and not up to the mark.
Placements: Rarely, any field-related company visits the college. There are mainly sales and management companies that approach the students with the salary package of 1 LPA - 2 LPA. Our seniors got placed in 1-2 companies with a bond of 6 months as an internship but nothing more than that.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is amazing. The environment of the university is very disciplined and friendly. The food served in the canteen is eatable and not that good. Wi-Fi is also available for the students and the library mainly has old editions of the books.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and know their work. They were supportive and guide in every aspect of your curriculum. There were weekly activities in the department for the growth of students. The condition of the labs is not so good but they are working on it.
Other: If you want to do a bachelor's in microbiology in Meerut only then go for it.

Review of IIMT University.
Placements: Our college provides good placements in some companies. Our department students get placed in many companies like pharmacy company at the post of junior microbiologist.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is so good. Students get good food here. Our college provides sports facilities like cricket academy, swimming academy, football academy, volleyball court, basketball court and badminton indoor court. Free Wi-Fi facility is available here. Our college provides watercooler and geyser in winter. Our college also provides air-conditioned rooms in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. The lab assistants are also good. Lab work is more important for us to get more knowledge. Teachers are knowledgeable. They are highly qualified. They support us to achieve our goals.

I'm quite satisfied. The quality of classroom study and placement opportunities need to be upgraded.
Placements: When I joined, we had only 13 students in our batch. We got at least 3 opportunities to attend placements. I got selected in Wipro at an initial salary package of 3 LPA for WASE programme, 4-year duration with M.Tech opportunity in VIT. People in this course gets an average salary package of 3 LPA only. No internships are there in B.Sc. microbiology.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi facility in 2012-15. Labs were really good, and in fact, practicals are taken seriously in this college. There are a lot of extracurricular activities conducted. Hostel facility is not mandatory. I was residing outside the campus. There are a lot of residential places near the university. Canteen facilities are excellent. They have their own medical centre attached to the university as well. Full-fledged cricket ground, swimming pool, boating facilities are there on the campus. Classrooms are big enough and well-lit.
Faculty: Teachers here were on a contract basis. In this course, usually, the faculty members used to do book reading due to which you have to work on self-study. However, a few faculty members do actually have in-depth knowledge. Usually, the contract basis faculty members are those who have completed their M.Sc. and are preparing for PhD. The course curriculum covers all the aspects to be learnt at this stage. Industry visits are quite less conducted.
Other: I had a good interest in biology and wanted to do an in-depth study on the same. The best thing is that the course covers the chemistry, physics, and mathematical aspect of microbiology as well. I wish if we would have more industry visits. However, other events and activities are on a very large scale. Intra department dance, quiz, skit, singing, extempore, and other competitions are conducted here.
