IUST Awantipora has not yet released the official report on BTech placements for 2024. However, the university's NIRF report 2024 contains the median pacakge offered to BTech students in 2023, which was INR 5.4 LPA. In 2022, the median package offered to BTech students at Islamic University of Science and Technology was INR 4.8 LPA. IUST Awantipora accepts JEE Main (Paper 1) scores for admission to its BTech courses (except in BTech in Food Technology. These entrance exams are conducted by the NTA. The exact exam dates vary yearly. JEE Main (Paper 1) is usually conducted in January every year.

For admission to BTech in Food Technology, the university accepts CUET UG (relevant subject) scores. CUET UG is usually conducted around May - June every year.

IUST has not provided distinct placement statistics to facilitate a comparison between BTech CSE and BTech ECE. Therefore, students are encouraged to visit the official University website for the relevant details. The University has not yet published the placement statistics for 2023. Nevertheless, the NIRF report for 2023 has been released. According to this report, during the 2022 placements at the Islamic University of Science and Technology, 201 BTech students secured placements. The median salary package for BTech graduates was INR 4.8 LPA.

IUST take top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualified candidates who have appeared for class 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora offers three-year Diploma in three specialisations. The university has specified the requirements that an applicant must satisfy to be eligible to take admission to a Diploma course. The eligibility criteria for all three specialisations are the same. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed Class 10 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 35% and Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The eligibility criteria for Lateral Entry admission to the Diploma courses is different.
