IUST Awantipora fee structure for the four-year BTech programme includes tuition fees, admission fees and security deposit. The admission fee and security deposit are payable only once, at admission. IUST Awantipora has not yet released the official report on BTech placements for 2024. However, the university's NIRF report 2024 contains the median pacakge offered to BTech students in 2023, which was INR 5.4 LPA. In 2022, the median package offered to BTech students at Islamic University of Science and Technology was INR 4.8 LPA. Top recruiters of the university include HDFC Bank, KPMG, HCL INFOSYSTEMS, etc. The median package for BTech courses increased by nearly 7% in 2022 when compared with 2021.

IUST Awantipora accepts JEE Main (Paper 1) scores for admission to its BTech courses (except in BTech in Food Technology. These entrance exams are conducted by the NTA. The exact exam dates vary yearly. JEE Main (Paper 1) is usually conducted in January every year.

For admission to BTech in Food Technology, the university accepts CUET UG (relevant subject) scores. CUET UG is usually conducted around May - June every year.

IUST (Islamic University of Science and Technology) offers various courses in B.Tech including that in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Food Technology.

The seat intake for the same is from 12-60 seats per course.

The eligibility criteria includes having passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognised board and JEE Main examination.

In total, there are 180 Diploma seats at IUST Awantipora. These seats are equally divided among the three Diploma specialisations offered at the university. The university allocates these seats to eligible applicants based on their performance in the University Entrance Test. It also follows a seat reservation policy favouring certain socially disadvantaged sections of the society. IUST Awantipora offers around 300 seats for BSc. The mentioned number includes the seats available for various BSc specialisations offered at the university. The university allots these seats to eligible candidates based on their performance in the accepted entrance exams. IUST Awantipora Diploma admission is granted to applicants who fulfil the eligibility and selection criteria specified by the university. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed Class 10/Class 12 (for Lateral Entry) with the required minimum aggregate. Hence, it can be said that the candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the Class 10/Class 12 exam in the current year can apply for admission. A 'Declaration for Result Awaited Candidates' must be filled by candidates applying before their final results are declared.

IUST Awantipora offers full-time Diploma courses in three specialisations. The eligibility, selection criteria, duration and fees for these specialisations are the same. Further, the university also offers Lateral Entry admissions to these specialisations. Candidates seeking admission to one of these specialisations must apply online and appear for the following University Entrance Test.
