My view on Jadavpur University.

Placements: The university is known for its excellent placement facilities, especially in the engineering departments, where the highest salary package can exceed 1 crore and the average package is around 15 lakh per annum. However, final year Master's students in Biotechnology are also eligible for placement, and some have been placed in companies such as Nestle and other regional companies. Most Biotech graduates from Jadavpur University prefer to do research at a premier institute in India or abroad.

Infrastructure: The systematic infrastructure in the central library is commendable, and it has many digital facilities. The reading room is open every day until 8pm. The campus has wifi and our department has eight experienced and highly qualified student-friendly professors who are actively contributing to research. We have a well-equipped lab with almost all modern facilities. Although there is a shortage of funding from the state and central government, my department is doing its best with its limited resources. The classrooms are big and have projectors and all modern facilities.

Faculty: The faculty at Jadavpur University are highly qualified and experienced. Some of the best researchers from India are in my department and my university. All the faculty members are extremely student friendly and they take care of students in every possible way. They take regular classes and labs, and give regular assessments and surprise tests for our improvement. Apart from academics, they encourage us to be active in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We have separate mentoring sessions for each student, and each student is allotted to a particular professor for mentoring.

Other: I chose this course because, while doing my undergraduate in microbiology, I was introduced to molecular biology and RDT, which was really interesting for me. I was very confident and comfortable studying this domain. That's why I chose biotechnology. Apart from that, I wanted to explore bioinformatics and computational biology, and it is in the curriculum of Jadavpur University so that was also a crucial point to join Jadavpur University and this course. Most importantly, Jadavpur University is the most affordable university in this country and the best place to study science and engineering for students like me who live in an educationally backward village.

Dissatisfied about placements but helpful professors well infrastructure.

Placements: This is the course where someone will do research work in future. In between 20 students 3 or 4 students can place in different city like Chennai Bhubaneswar Bangalore and so on. The highest package 10 LPA avg package 2 or 3 LPA yes someone can do internship as well.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure. Wi-Fi available. Classroom is pretty good. Library is available for study and taking books. There's present different types of books. Hostel accommodation is those whose home is far more than 93 km and all other facilities are there.

Faculty: Yes they are helpful for our study career different curriculum activities poster presentation and so on. No semester exams are not too much difficult. If you read properly you'll pass and the pass percentage 40. Yes they make students properly if he or she want to join industry or research.

Other: It's a mixture of Biology Chemistry Maths and slides of Physics. And I love to read Biology Chemistry and Maths so I chose this. It's seriously a interesting subject if you're a studious student. Events occur in every month. The fest famous Sanskriti happens in Feb March April for both campus. Campus surrounding is peaceful really. For ews students you can get a scholarship and svmcm is available also.
