I had a very good experience at Jadavpur University, where I pursued my post-graduation.
Placements: Placements are quite good in our college if you consider the entire institute. It is one of the most reputed institutions in the country, and it produces some of the best talented students nationally. As far as our course is concerned, we got decent internships and placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Even though I do not stay in the hostel, I am sure that the hostel here is one of the best. The fee is extremely less, and the hostel is near to the main campus.
Faculty: Our course, i.e., masters in economics, is a very comprehensive and specialised course for any student aspires to complete their post-graduation in economics. Faculty members for MA in economics at Jadavpur University are one of the finest. You get to learn very much from them not just from an academic perspective, but also our daily life lessons. The course curriculum is also top-notch, and the scope for econometrics which our course provides is one of the best in the country.

In Jadavpur University, students have all-round success.
Placements: The placement coordinators in the economics department and the central placement committee have worked tirelessly and achieved a placement rate of almost over 70% this year in the economics department. Companies like Citi, HSBC, KPMG, Genpact, WNS and Bridgei2i visit our campus to offer roles such as data analyst, business analyst and consultant.
Infrastructure: Every department has a fully-equipped up-to-date library to provide the best guidance and support for students. Departments work to offer air-conditioning classrooms to all students. Jadavpur University has 8 canteens which offer a huge range of food options, and it even has an on-campus pharmacy for medical emergencies.
Faculty: Professors here are extremely qualified and experienced. They have a vice-like grip on their respective subjects and are very efficient in their teaching. They are very approachable, very helpful and ensure that every student studying here is ready to face the competitive industry when they leave this university.

Very helpful faculty, good placements, proper infrastructure.
Placements: 66% of the students who were interested in company placements got placed. -the highest 12lpa, the lowest 4.5lpa, average 7lpa.
CITI, HSBC, KPMG, Genpact, Bride i2i, WNS, etc. have hired from our department. 95% of students got internship. RBI, SBI Genpact, BCC&I, FICCI, NABARD hired students for internship. Assistant Manager is the top role.
Infrastructure: The department is Wi-Fi enabled, department Labs are with internet facilities and access to journals. There are well-equipped libraries. The classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with projection facilities. I have not availed the hostel facility.
Faculty: Faculty members serving the Department of Economics at Jadavpur University belong to the renowned Economics fraternity of India. Teachers are student-friendly and always eager to share their knowledge. Course curriculum is structured according to the RUSA syllabus.

It is an amazing college to study.
Placements: Placements in our college are pretty good. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 11 LPA. Internships are also provided here. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. There is an excellent placement cell with three elected students as placement coordinators. Main recruiters are analytics companies.
Infrastructure: There are huge playgrounds. There are multiple canteens with healthy wholesome foods available within the campus. There is a huge scope for recreation activities. There are five huge auditoriums on the campus. Classrooms are spacious. There are three dedicated labs for the economics department.
Faculty: There are experienced faculty members who are doctorate holders from reputed institutions. Several professors are doctorate holders from foreign universities. The course curriculum is frequently updated to suit changing times. They teach new computer programmes to keep the students updated.

Satisfied with the scope that the college provides.
Placements: The placements in our batch were a little over 55% but in the senior batch almost everyone got placed. The highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA whereas the lowest offered salary package is 5 LPA. The roles assigned were mostly in the fields of data analytics.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi facility in the campus but the quality is poor. The new building classrooms are cleaned on a regular basis. The library and the labs have AC and they are well maintained. The medical facility is also well stocked. There are many canteens in the campus and all of them provide proper food.
Faculty: The teachers are all well qualified and knowledgeable but the teaching qualities varies from one teacher to the other. There is not much industry exposure the present curriculum and also the scope of the curriculum has very less practical applications.

Best choice in West Bengal.
Placements: 1. Out of 25 people who sat for on campus placement, 7 didn't get placed.
2. The highest package was 11 lpa, the lowest was 4.5 lpa, average package was 7.3 lpa.
3. The companies that recruited from our course according to the package offered are CITI Corporate Services, HSBC, WNS, Genpact, KPMG and Bridge i2i.
4. 100% students got internship. Companies that they interned at were Genpact, RBI, SBI Bengal Chamber of commerce and industry, M76, Tomorrow's foundation.
5. Top roles offered were that of data analyst and business analyst.
Infrastructure: 1. Our library is really good and contains all the reference books prescribed by our professors and beyond. We have a central library and a departmental library, both of which we can access. Classes are big enough to fit in 60 people and are air conditioned with a projector and a blackboard. Computer lab has recently been upgraded. There's Wi-Fi in the lab.
2. Quality of food is good at a cheap rate. Everything is subsidised here. You can have a hearty meal within Rs.40. We have a TT room where most of our time after class is spent.
Faculty: 1. Our professors are really qualified and we continuously learn from them, both inside and outside our classroom. They're friendly and always open to discussion and debates. You can any time approach any teacher in their room regarding a doubt and they will explain it to you without a second thought.
2. It's more relevant for Ph.D. not as much for corporate sector I feel. The only programming language were taught is STATA.
