Jain University BTech is a full-time course offered at the undergraduate level. The duration of the course is four years. Students pursuing BTech at Jain University can choose one of the many streams available at the university. These streams/branches include BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, BTech in Aerospace Engineering, BTech in Information Science and Engineering, etc.
In addition to the regular BTech, Jain College of Engineering also offers a BTech Lateral Entry programme for diploma/BSc graduates. The duration of this course is three years. With this option, students are admitted directly to the third semester (second year) of the BTech programme at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology under Jain (Deemed-to-be) University.
Admission to the courses offered by Jain University is entrance-based. For BTech admission at Jain University, aspirants need to qualify in at least one of the accepted entrance exams, including JET, Uni-GAUGE, JEE and COMEDK. Further, they must fulfil the below-given Jain University BTech eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) from PUC/ISC/CBSE or any other equivalent board
- They must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, with at least one optional subject out of Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science /Biology in Class 12
Jain University BTech Fees 2025
Jain University BTech fee has multiple components. Some of the components are paid one-time while the others are paid semester-wise. The components include tuition fees, caution deposit, hostel and mess charges, etc. The caution deposit is a refundable amount that is returned to the students after the completion of the degree. Yes, Jain University offers direct admission to the second year of BTech through its Lateral Entry programme via its Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The duration of this course is three years, in which students can skip the first year of the course and get direct admission to the second year. This course is offered in the same 24 specialisations as of a four-year BTech course. Admission to BTech Lateral Entry solely depends on the percentage obtained by candidates in the Diploma and the availability of seats for the course. Those who score minimum 45% aggregate in Diploma are selected for this course.
Direct admission to a regular four-year BTech course at Jain University is not valid. Jain University BTech admission is entirely based on candidates' performance in the Jain Entrance Test (JET), conducted by the university or scores of JEE Main/ Uni-GAUGE/ COMEDK entrance exams. The final selection is based on the scores in the respective entrance exams, followed by a counselling round. Candidates can get direct admission in the second year of BTech through Lateral Entry. The selection for this course is based on the percentage acquired by candidates in their last Diploma course. Admission to this course is merit-based and no entrance exam is required.

Jain University BCA admission is entrance based. The accepted exam is the Jain Entrance Test (JET). This is followed by Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) rounds. Hence, there is currently no provision for direct admissions.
