As per the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) admission is based  EAMCET (Engg, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test). However, the university other entrance exams for admission to its UG and PG courses. Tabulated below are cousre-wise entracnec exams accepted by JNTUK: 

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada offers five courses at the undergraduate level, namely B.Tech, B.Pharma B.Arch Pharma. D and integrated MBA. The duration of B.Tech and B.Pharma is four years each, whereas B.Arch and integrated MBA are of five-year duration. Pharma. D is of six-year duration. Admission to all these courses is entrance exam-based. For JNTUK Ph.D. admission, candidates must appear in one of the entrance exams such as UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE/ Andhra Pradesh RCET followed by Interview.

The CGPA provided for a student by JNTUK is the Cumulative grade point for a student’s overall performance throughout all the semesters in a program. The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e. CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / ΣCi Where Si is the SGPA of the i^th semester and Ci is the total number of credits in that semester.

As per the B.Tech (R16) academic regulations of JNTUK, Kakinada, the following is 
the procedure for the computation of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). 

SGPA (Si) = Σ (Ci X Gi) / Σ Ci

Where Ci is the number of credits of the ith course and Gi is the grade point 
scored by the student in the ith course.

The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by
a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e.

CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / Σ Ci

Where Si is the SGPA of the ith semester and Ci is the total number of 
credits in that semester.

The equivalent percentage can be calculated as per the below formula for the 
B.Tech students who obtains their degrees under R16 regulations ie. 2016-17 
admitted batch onwards (2017-18 batch onwards for lateral entry scheme). 

Equivalent Percentage = (CGPA – 0.75) X 10

All eligible specially-able students admitted to the first or second year of the degree-level courses through lateral entry in any of the AICTE-approved Institutions will get the scholarship under the AICTE - Saksham Scholarship Scheme. In addition to this, AICTE - Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students are disbursed to the first or second year of degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institution of the respective year.

AP EAMCET is the conducting exam to get admission to BTech courses. Based on Andhra Pradesh EAMCET scores, the JNTUK cutoff 2024 for the BTech courses was determined. As per the JNTUK Andhra Pradesh EAMCET cutoff 2024, the BTech in CSE rank ranged between 3151 and 174623 for the General Home State category candidates. Also, the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competetive course.
