at KGMU, Lucknow

NBE conducted the NEET SS 2023 exam over a window of two days, September 29 and September 30, in two slots. The morning slot was held from 9 AM to 11.30 AM and the afternoon slot was scheduled from 2 PM to 4.30 PM. The exam was earlier postponed by NBE owing to the G-20 Summit scheduled in New Delhi from September 8 to September 10. The exam was scheduled to be held on September 9 and September 10. NEET SS 2023 exam was held in computer-based mode. NBE started registration for NEET SS 2023 on July 27.  Candidates had to register online and submit NEET SS 2023 application form till August 16. 

Admissions to DM at KGMU is entirely done via NEET SS scores. To apply for KGMU DM admissions, candidates are required to appear for NEET SS entrance exam in the first place. For that, aspirants must fill an online application form on the official website of NEET SS. The application fee for NEET SS is INR 4,425. The step-wise application process  for KGMU is given below:

Step 2: No candidate can register for more than one application

Step 3: Fill the application form with all the mandatory details.

Step 4: Pay the application fees online through debit/ credit card/ net banking.

Step 5: Check the status of your application including images in your ‘My Page’ section.

At KGMU, candidates can pusue DM across 8 specialisations. The total seat intake for DM at KGMU is 38. Admission to all the DM courses at KGMU is done through a valid score of NEET SS entrance exam. Find below the specialisation-wise seat intake bifurcation for popular DM courses offered at KGMU:

NEET SS counselling 2023 dates have been released by the Medical Counselling Committee on November 8, approximately after a month of the result declaration. The registration process for the NEET SS 2023 counselling process begun on November 8 and the last date of registration was November 14. The provsional seat allotment result was declared on November 16 and the revised provisional result was declared on November 17. There will be two rounds of the NEET SS counselling 2023, which will be conducted till December 20.

King George's Medical University is a goverment university which was established in 1905. The university is accredited with A Grade by NAAC and is approved by UGC, DCI, and MCI. King George's Medical University is a public university which is accredited with A Grade by NAAC. Being a public university. The fee for various courses is not very high. Even if the students find the fee a little high, they can apply for the scholarships offered by the university.

NEET rank and scores are not required if candidates want to seek admission to the BSc Nursing programme offered at King George's Medical University. The aspirants must appear for the Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP CNET) if they want to get admission to the KGMU BSc Nursing course. 

KGMU Lucknow offers direct admission to only BSc aspirants. For BSc course, the selection is based on the last qualifying exam of Class 12. For other Medical and Dental courses such as MBBS, BDS, MD, DM, etc., candidates are selected based on national-level entrance exams. Admission to these courses is completely based on a valid scores of NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET SS, etc., entrance exams. KGMU accepts admission to most of the Medical courses through a valid score in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the sole entrance test for admission to the BDS and MBBS programmes in India. According to the KGMU (King George's Medical University) cutoff for Round 2 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BDS and MBBS specialisations ranged from 1647 to 26203. King George's Medical University accepts NEET PG scores for admission to the MD, MS and PG Diploma courses. KGMU MD cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein the most in-demand MD specialsiation was MD in Radio Diagnosis. The last-round closing rank for admission to the MD in Radio Diagnosis course was 143 for the General AI category students. The least important specialisation was Anatomy with a closing cutoff of 83112. DM stands for Doctor of Medicine, which is a super-specialised course in the field of Medical. Candidates can only pursue this course after getting a PG degree in Medical. For admission to a three-year DM course at KGMU, aspirants must get a PG degree in either MD/ MS or any equivalent from a recognised institution recognised by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. Admission to this course is entirely based on NEET SS entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for DM is standard for all NEET SS aspirants.
