KGMU Campus Highlights
KGMU anti-ragging campus spans over an area of 7 square kilometres, housing more than 50 buildings. There are plenty of hostel rooms for both girls and boys to have a comfortable stay while pursuing their education. The Gandhi Memorial & Associated Hospitals of KGMU have over 4500 functional beds.
KGMU’s infrastructure boasts the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Centre. With state–of–the–art audio-visual facilities, the centre was a project by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and is used for national and international-level scientific and cultural functions of the university. The auditorium consists of 3 halls with 200, 400 and 1,050 seats and can be used for plays, music, as well as films. The university campus also hosts a guesthouse with high-speed Wi-Fi, well-appointed single and double rooms, and meeting rooms, offering a peaceful and secure environment, whilst ensuring proximity to the college, teaching hospital and academic departments.

KGMU Hostel Facilities
KGMU has hostel accommodations for both girls and boys, as well as for interns, postgraduate students and nursing students. The rooms are occupied on either a single, double or triple occupancy. KGMU infrastructure consists of 21 hostels, primarily for undergraduate students with 536 rooms, and 2 dedicated hostels for nursing students, postgraduate students with a total number of 1389 rooms, as well as for interns. There are also 2 common boy and girl hostels intended for post-graduate students and faculty.
There are a plethora of amenities made available to students, such as sports facilities with specific courts dedicated to various games, such as table tennis, basketball, badminton, etc. Students also have access to a reading room, gymnasium, guestrooms, computer centre and library, 2 tea stalls, plus 4 canteens, where one canteen named '1905' remains open 24/7.

KGMU Library
The central library was established in 1991 and is located in the administrative block and covers an area of 2945.23 square meters. The library has a power backup from a 132 KVA generator, with all floors being air-conditioned. KGMU library currently holds:

- 1316 DVD's / CD's
The central library is subscribed to 194 print journals, 4410 e-journals and 4273 e-books. It is a member of DELNET and ERMED-India, through which the university gets 228 high-quality medical journals from 5 leading publishers for its students. With the use of automated software 'KOHA', students can search for documents online through the use of OPAC software. All the books, bound journals and theses are tagged with a radio-frequency identification system (RFID) and for security, magnetic detection gates have been installed in the library to ensure the security of documents.
The KGMU library remains open 9:00 am to 10:00 pm from Mondays to Saturdays and on Sundays, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The reading room hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 am the next day, with a cafeteria situated right next to the library, offering a relaxed and much-needed break during study hours.
KGMU Sports Facilities
King George’s Medical College boasts a grand Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Ground for hosting a variety of outdoor and track-and-field activities. Ranging from cricket, basketball, hockey and badminton to athletics and football, KGMU infrastructure ensures that students have access to top-class facilities. KGMU sports infrastructure consists of a fully illuminated tennis court with a practice wall area.
In addition to outdoor amenities, KGMU is fully equipped with ultra-modern indoor facilities available for badminton, table tennis and other indoor games, along with a well-maintained gymnasium facility at the Sardar Patel hostel. With sports activities being conducted all year for students and an annual sports meet at the end of each academic year, King George’s Medical College is dedicated to promoting sports and the importance of physical activity for its student body.

The KGMU central library remains open all days of the week. From Monday to Saturday, the timings are from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm and on Sundays, the library is operative from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is completely closed on public holidays such as on Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Holi, Eid-ul-Fitr, Dusshera and Deepawali.
The library also consists of a reading room, open from 9:00 am for the whole day and closing at 6:00 am the next day.
