For admission to a three-year MD course at KGMU, there is basic eligibility criteria as per NBE norms. Admissions to this course is based on NEET PG scores. To appear for this entrance exam and admission to MD is offered to those who hold MD degree from a university recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 55% aggregate in the case of General & OBC categories. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC/ ST category candidates. The reserved category candidates are required to obtain 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of MD.

Admissions to MD at KGMU is entirely done via NEET PG scores. To apply for KGMU MD admissions, candidates are required to appear for NEET PG entrance exam in the first place. Step 3: Fill the application form with all the mandatory details.

Step 4: Pay the application fees online through debit/ credit card/ net banking.

NEET rank and scores are not required if candidates want to seek admission to the BSc Nursing programme offered at King George's Medical University. The aspirants must appear for the Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP CNET) if they want to get admission to the KGMU BSc Nursing course. 

KGMU Lucknow offers direct admission to only BSc aspirants. For BSc course, the selection is based on the last qualifying exam of Class 12.
