DM stands for Doctor of Medicine, which is a super-specialised course in the field of Medical. Candidates can only pursue this course after getting a PG degree in Medical. For admission to a three-year DM course at KGMU, aspirants must get a PG degree in either MD/ MS or any equivalent from a recognised institution recognised by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. Admission to this course is entirely based on NEET SS entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for DM is standard for all NEET SS aspirants. 

KGMU NEET UG Cutoff 2024 has been out for Round 3. The Cutoff was published for students seeking admission to MBBS/BDS across different categories of candidates under the All India quota. The Round 3 closing ranks for the General quota candidates were closed between the range of 2059 and 29714. Out of all the courses, the most popular one to get admission into was Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

For last year, the closing rank for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) was 25581 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to KGMU - King George's Medical University.

KGMU NEET UG cutoff 2024 has been concluded for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses. For KGMU, round 4 was the last-round for BDS. For MBBS, round 3 was the concluding round for the General AI category students seeking admission in 2024. As per the KGMU MBBS cutoff 2024, the latest (last-round) cutoff was 2059. For admission to a three-year MD course at KGMU, there is basic eligibility criteria as per NBE norms. Admissions to this course is based on NEET PG scores. To appear for this entrance exam and admission to MD is offered to those who hold MD degree from a university recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 55% aggregate in the case of General & OBC categories. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC/ ST category candidates. The reserved category candidates are required to obtain 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of MD. 

The fee structure of BSc courses at KGMU includes multiple components, such as tuition fees, application fees, admission fees, hostel fees, and various other one-time charges. The total tuition fees for BSc courses range from INR 48,000 to INR 3 lakh. The noticeable component of the fee structure of BSc courses at KMGU is candidates are required to pay the tuition fees and hostel fees as per the category.  

In order to get admission to DM at KGMU, the minimum eligibility criteria is to get a PG degree of MD/ MS or any equivalent. DM is a super specialisaed course, admission to this course is entirely entrance-based. For admission to this course, candidates have to check the eligibility in the first place and appear for NEET SS entrance exam. This entrance exam is conducted by NBE every year. Those who qualify this entrance exam will be allocated seats as per the NEET SS Counselling. For the counselling process, candidates have to register themselves on the official website of MCC.

NTA is expected to start the NEET 2026 registration in the first week of February. The last date of application is likely to be scheduled for first week of March. NEET 2026 will be conducted in the first week of May. 

KGMU MBBS cutoff 2023 for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) was 1970 for EWS and 110746 for PWD category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in NEET UG, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

KGMU accepts admission to most of the Medical courses through a valid score in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the sole entrance test for admission to the BDS and MBBS programmes in India. According to the KGMU (King George's Medical University) cutoff for Round 2 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BDS and MBBS specialisations ranged from 1647 to 26203. The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, the opening rank was 20731 and the closing rank was 25581. To get admission into KGMU throught UP NEET exam, student must target the rank as per the cutoff list. As per the cutoff, the closing rank for General Home State category stood at 3484. Among the OBC HS category the last round closing rank was 3665. For SC Home State, ST Home State and PWD Home State category candidates also, the cutoff ranks were lenient than 3000. Therefore, it is possible to get admission into KGMU through UP NEET rank of 3000.

Admissions to MD at KGMU is entirely done via NEET PG scores. To apply for KGMU MD admissions, candidates are required to appear for NEET PG entrance exam in the first place. Presently, KGMU offers admission to MBBS course on 250 seats. Candidates are selected based on a valid rank obtained in NEET UG entrance exam. At KGMU, all the seats are filled with UP state NEET UG counselling process, which is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) particularly for the state colleges of KGMU. No, candidates are not allowed to get admission to the MBBS course at KGMU without NEET scores. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pursue an MBBS degree in India without passing the NEET exam. To get selected by King George Medical University for the MBBS course, candidates must qualify for certain eligibility criteria from which the first one is candidates must complete their Class 12 from the PCB stream with a minimum of 50% scores. Secondly, candidates must appear and secure good scores in the NEET entrance examination. Lastly, the last seat allotments are based on candidates' performance in UP NEET counselling. 

KGMU offers admission to MBBS course for a duration to five and half years (66 months). Admission to MBBS courses is entirely entrance-based. In order to get admission to MBBS course at KGMU, candidates must pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised board. Form MBBS admissions, KGMU accepts valid scores of NEET UG, which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. Candidates who qualifiy this exam will be allocated seats as per NEET UG Counselling in various rounds.
