My college is the best in B.Tech.
Placements: So many friends are placed from GECT. Here are so many students placed in all years and all departments. Electrical and electronics engineering is a very important qualification for each placement cell. The EEE department got placed at Wubics, Digital Core Technology, etc. There is a good placement cell in the electrical and electronics engineering department.
Infrastructure: There are different lab extension halls for all semesters in my college for all departments. The men's hostel and ladies' hostel provide good accommodation and safety. Good food is served in the college canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are very strict and very knowledgeable. The classes are well-presented. Only industrial economics and foreign trade subjects are studied here. The semester exams are prepared and the exam evaluation is at my college. It is a top college in Kerala.
Other: EEE is the most valuable course but it is hard.

A good infrastructure and environment for students.
Placements: SCMS School of Engineering and Technology offers campus placements to students with an average package of 4 LPA. Major companies like Infosys, TCS, etc., visit the campus. Almost 60 percent of students are placed every year. The highest package offered is 12 LPA. With good marks and interest in learning, one can definitely secure a campus placement here.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is extraordinary. The library and labs are neat and clean. Hostels are also acceptable at their best. In 2026, the college got autonomous status because of its exceptional performance. The mess food tastes really good.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful. SCMS has very highly accomplished staff. Exam preparation can be done with the help of teachers. Faculty members here are Ph.D. holders, researchers, and other highly qualified professionals. The curriculum is simple and relevant to the course.
Other: The best thing about this college is its infrastructure, and of course the food. The mess food here is very good and worth every penny.

Really good infrastructure, skill development, quality & new education style.
Placements: 80 percent of students were placed in Computer Science. The highest package is 10 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. Tata Consultancy Services, car companies, TVS, IBM, Infosys, Kaar Tech, Chameleon, etc., recruit. As a job role, company staff, administration, etc., are the offers. Around 70 percent of students got internships in our Computer Science department. Infosys, TCS, Tata, etc., are the top companies offering internships.
Infrastructure: Our department is the best in our college, it provides many labs, Wi-Fi all over the department, and a department library. The hostel provides high-quality food, studies, along with Wi-Fi, infrastructure, and they provide medical service whenever we need. They provide quality and hygienic food to everyone, including teachers and students. They provide everyone with the same food. Varieties of food every day. Sports are average in our college. It's a 2-day programme.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in the case of teaching, qualifications, they have almost passed out from NIT, IIT, etc. They make the students industry-ready. The difficulty of exams depends on the question papers, but they almost cover the previous question papers before the semester exams. In the Computer Science department, there is an almost 90% pass percentage.
Other: In this field, we can choose many job offers. It's a completely computer-based course that we can also go along with business. We need to improve more programs in college, like any fest, etc., related to technologies.

Balanced CSE academics with great labs, tight schedules, and decent campus life.
Placements: 80 to 90 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 17 LPA, the average is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 1 LPA. Recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Popular Hyundai, and Barath Benz. Roles offered are Software Engineer, Developer Trainee, Associate System Engineer, Full Stack Web Developer, QA Test Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Data Associate.
Infrastructure: There are AC labs for OS/DBMS, smart classrooms, campus Wi-Fi, and a vast library support the CSE department. Hostels offer clean and secure rooms. The mess serves standard Kerala cuisine alongside a varied canteen. Basic medical aid and sports fields are available.
Faculty: Faculty are qualified, helpful, and follow the KTU curriculum which covers core concepts like OS and DBMS but requires extra self-study for industry readiness. Semester exams are moderately difficult with a strict evaluation. Pass rates are around 60-70 percent.
Other: I chose this course for its vast career scope. CSE thrives on coding labs and logic. The KTU syllabus can feel outdated needing a more modern tech focus. Campus life is lively with fests and teach events though strict academic schedules limit extra activities.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering - Batch of 2026

Overall, the college is good. The campus is a little compact, and we will get good faculty.
Placements: Biotechnology and biochemical engineering offer a wide variety of opportunities. Above 75% of students got placed overall in the college. A minimum of 70% of students get placed from biotechnology in top companies like Zeta, Biocon, etc. The highest package is 8 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. We get internships from companies like Zeta, Syngene, Biocon, and other top biotech industries. We will get exposure to outstanding lab activities, etc., so it will be a great experience for students.
Infrastructure: In our department and in our college, we have free Wi-Fi access, an outstanding department library, excellent lab facilities, and digital classrooms with excellent facilities. We have separate boys and girls hostels with 1 to 4 sharing rooms, Wi-Fi access, and quality food. There is a gym for both girls and boys. It has a garden, canteen with a variety of food, emergency medical facilities, etc.
Faculty: Many teachers are PhD holders, and some are doing PhD work, so it will be very helpful for us. Teachers help us with our projects and guide us properly. The quality of teaching is somewhat very good. However, semester exams are difficult, as exams are conducted by Kerala Technological University. The syllabus is vast, so it is a bit hard to study. It is interesting. The course curriculum is relevant, to be honest. It helps students understand everything and get used to the lab. There are good faculty members to guide us.
Other: If you are very interested in Biology integrated with tech, then biotechnology is a very good option for you. I had an interest in engineering and also Biology, so I chose biotechnology as my career. I think it will be much better if the syllabus of each subject in every semester is reduced because the syllabus is so vast, and it makes students more stressed during exams. The college conducts arts, sports, cultural, and technical events every year, and I think it's so relaxing for students after studying. I think the college is a little compact.

Absolutely satisfied with the campus and faculty members.
Placements: 20% of the students got placed. The lowest offer is Rs. 5,000, and the highest is Rs. 20,000. 20% of students got an internship. They got placed, but the salary is basic. Every student is highly skilled after leaving the academy, and the demand for ECE students is high right now.
Infrastructure: We have good classes, labs, and a library. Also, the hostel has a good environment and average food. The environment is really good for studying. Also, sports and other activities are available. Such as pool, turf, horse riding, etc. Also, there are lots of events and programs conducted every year. Also, a fest and a marathon are conducted every year, which is grand.
Faculty: We have very good teachers with a good method of teaching, and they are really friendly. The course helps to build the knowledge, and the rest is up to us. According to our university, it was a little bit of a struggle, and the changes in the timetable at the last moment were a little hard.
Other: I chose this course to follow my passion.
