B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2026

Good but not best, the infrastructure is very poor.
Placements: No core companies are there for the placements. Only call centre and IT jobs are coming to the cell and for the interviews. The management is publishing 100 percent placements, but the truth is only a very few students are placed in core companies; others are placed in IT companies.
Infrastructure: Poor infrastructure, and the total campus area is very small when compared with other engineering colleges in the same university. The basic lab infrastructure is even not available. The tools are very poor, and the new tools have not yet been updated since years.
Faculty: Good faculty and courses when compared to the other colleges. Proper guidance is provided from the staff side and department, but the management side when observing is very unrealistic. Not even a proper single technical fest isn’t conducted during my years.
Other: Choose this course by personal interest.

Good infrastructure and supportive faculty, decent placements and vibrant campus life.
Placements: 50 percent of students get placed. The highest placements are given by companies like Gulf Asian, Abroad India, with a package of 50,000 per month. Average companies also come, and the lowest is up to 15,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Gulf Asian, MRF, etc. 60 percent of students got internship at DRDO, VRD, IISC, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi has low speed. Labs are good, classrooms are also very good. Library contains sufficient books, and the interior and space are also good. I'm not a hostler, so I don't know about the details. Canteen food is average, and medical facilities are also average. Not at all good in sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good. That's why Christ has more pass percentage than other colleges. Course curriculum is not at all relevant because only theory sections; practical sections need to be improved. Semester exams are not at all difficult to pass. Pass percentage is 75 percent.
Other: I'm a mechanical engineer. I want to enter into Merchant Navy, so I chose this course. Best thing is about knowing about automobile, engines, machines, etc. I wish to improve practical sections rather than theory. Events, campus, surroundings are average.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

Review of SCMS School of Engineering.
Placements: Only 5 or 6 students are placed. No further skills for placements are developed, and no proper support from the college side is provided. The placement training given is of very low quality. The college is not preparing any students for doing work, and no technical skills are developed.
Infrastructure: The campus is very bad, but the college infrastructure is okay. There is no further maintenance in the college, which is done properly, and many parts of the college campus are wasted, and it feels like a forest. The college management is very dumb and not a little responsible for the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly, but exams are not properly arranged. This college is a very good match for students who don't like to study. The good side of the college is that they never pressure the students on anything, and I really like this about the college.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty members.
Placements: Students placed in Computer Science are around 10%. Top roles offered for Computer Science students are developers. The college offers placement training, but I never felt useful in the placement sections. An average package of 3 LPA-4 LPA is generally provided. Top recruiting companies such as TCS, Infosys, etc. Proper training to face these placement interviews is not provided.
Infrastructure: College has a decent infrastructure for every department. Proper Wi-Fi system, labs are managed very well, classrooms are not great, but okay with it, and a huge, beautiful library area is available. The canteen provides better-tasting food compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Facilities are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is okay, but faculty members' attitude towards students is always satisfactory. Semester exams are not so difficult in this college. Internal exams are conducted in the same format as university exams, so it makes us feel confident.
Other: College shows 0 interest in hosting events and fests. The college provides various courses under different departments.

It's okay and maybe a good college.
Placements: Based on your CGPA and resume, you can get good campus placements as well as off-campus placements. I think the highest pack is 15 LPA or a bit above. There are many recruiting companies, private and government included. Many got internships during the sem break in many companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Okayish classrooms. The library is good, there are also department libraries for each department, and each department has its own building. The canteen and mess food is good as well, and is available in sports and games. The medical facilities are okayish, but there are hospitals and clinics very near the college.
Faculty: Most teachers and staff are helpful. The course is curriculum-relevant, and it does make the students industry-ready if you put in the effort too. Sem exams are average. It has a good pass percentage. The teaching quality is also okayish. You just have to put a lot of effort.
Other: I chose this based on my interests only. A more practical and a bit helpful syllabus should be exchanged and added. The events, campus, and scholarship are very nice. The scholarships offered are various. Also good at extracurricular activities.

It has good infrastructure, good facilities for study, and good labs.
Placements: Half of the students get placed who clear all papers of B.Tech. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest is 1.2 LPA. Infosys is the highest recruiting company. CS has many branches like business and AI. Many internship programs are provided in college.
Infrastructure: There is a very good atmosphere in college. It has good department with AC. It also provides Wi-Fi. We have a good library with study materials. There is a study hall for students. Hostel has good facilities with good food menu. Lots of non-veg food is available. Classrooms are well-maintained with good fans and light.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful to the students. Teaching quality is also very good. Students are also industry-ready. Course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are okay for the students who cover portion for the exam. Pass percentage is also good.
Other: Electronics and communication is good course for the future. We can move to both hardware and software. Events in college are very good because every program has good standards and good crowd. It provides good scholarships for students.
