IIT Delhi BDes Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Delhi BDes is a four-year full-time programme offered at the undergraduate level via its Institute’s Department of Design. IIT Delhi BDes admission is based on candidates' performance in UCCED. Given below is the minimum eligibility criteria and seat intake for the IIT Delhi BDes course:

Yes, some of the hostels of IIT Delhi are air-conditioned. However, non-air-conditioned hostels are also available. The hostels are allotted to the students based on availability. Some lecture theatres are also air-conditioned. Apart from this, some common areas on the campus or hostel also have air conditioning or air coolers.
50 students received domestic offers with package more than INR 1 crore per annum during the IIT Delhi placement drive 2023. Further, the highest international package offered during IIT Delhi placements 2023 stood at INR 2.5 crore per annum.
IIT Delhi admission is entrance-based for all the programmes (Except for PG Diploma). For the diploma course, selection is done merit-basis. Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply for the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi undergraduate courses. More details around the admission process of some of the courses are provided below:
- Candidates, who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with an aggregate of 75% or above, can appear for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced and JoSAA Counselling to seek BTech admission at IIT Delhi.
- Admission to MTech course is based on merit in GATE exam followed by GOAP counselling.
- For MSc, aspirants need to apply with a valid score of IIT JAM and selected candidates have to further go through CCMN counselling.

Students seeking admission to BDes course (Bachelor of Design) at IIT Delhi are required to sit for UCEED exam 2023. UCEED releases qualifying cutoff in the form of mean deviation and standard deviation. Appearing in UCEED 2023 or being on the admission rank list does not guarantee admission to IIT Delhi BDes courses.
Candidates who have passed UCEED 2023 must apply separately to the UCEED participating institute for BDes admission. Apart from passing the UCEED exam, the candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria, category certificates and other documents, as well as the UCEED score, to be verified by IIT Delhi.
Candidates need to have a prep strategy in place to prepare for Part A and Part B of the CEED exam. IIT Delhi BTech admission 2026 is based on JEE Advanced scores. Though the institute records high cutoffs every year, with adequate preparation, anyone can seek admission to its BTech programme. Candidates need to be thorough with their Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus to crack the exam. The students must have a valid score in JoSAA. Also, for similar top-notch or tier 1 BTech colleges such as IITs, NITs and IIITs, the pattern of the entrance for BTech is the same.

With 98.28 percentile in JEE first attempt, you can get admission branches, such as ECE, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in DTU, NSUT, IITD, and NIT Delhi.
