Q: How many courses are offered by MAKAUT?

MAKAUT offers approximately over 80 UG, PG Diploma doctoral and Certificate courses across its seven schools and more than 100 UG and PG programmes via 196 affiliated colleges. All these programmes are offered in numerous streams, I. e. Engineering, Management, Science and Software & IT, among others. Additionally, for undergraduate programmes candidates need to pass Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate.

MAKAUT BCA course admission are done based on scores in CET exam conducted by the university itself. Students interested in seeking admission to the BCA course are required to apply via CET conducted by MAKAUT. Following is a step by step guide for MAKAUT admissions:

MAKAUT BCA Application Process

Visit the official website of the instiute and click on 'Apply Online for CET'.
Register by adding the required details, such as name, contact details and a valid email id
Check for the registration number received via SMS/email
Login and fill out the application form
Pay the application fee and submit the form

MAKAUT BCA application fee for the CET exam conducted by MAKAUT is as follows:

Shortlisting based on CET

After the announcement of CET results, candidates are ranked based on their performance in the entrance exams. The candidates who are shortlisted for counselling are informed about further process over call/mail, by the authorities of CET. The counselling fee for CET is expected to be INR 500. However, it is subject to change at the discretion of the concerned authorities.

Admission Confirmation

Students who get allocated a seat via the counselling need to get their documents verified by the admission authorities. After document verification, students are required to pay the prescribed fees to secure their admission. The MAKAUT BCA fees ranges from INR 66,000 to INR 5 lakh for a course duration of two years as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is, however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

MAKAUT BCA Curriculum

MAKAUT BCA curriculum includes a semester-wise list of subjects to be taught throughout the course duration. Some of the subjects included in the curriculum are Object Oriented Programming with Java, Information System Analysis and Design, Java Programming Lab, Python Programming Lab, etc. Moreover, the university conducts a six weeks online Bridge Course for non Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology background students according to the detailed syllabus. Placements: Placements are decent. Some good companies visit and offer average packages. The placement cell provides training and support, but students must work on their skills themselves. Opportunities exist, but success depends largely on individual effort. The college is very good.

Infrastructure: Best classrooms with the best labs and canteen. Infrastructure is good, with clean classrooms, functional labs, and a well-stocked library. Wi-Fi is available, and the labs feel luxurious. Classrooms are very good. I wish I could go to college again because it was one of the best times of my life.

Faculty: Faculty members are very nice and helpful. Faculty members are supportive and qualified. Some explain concepts clearly, while others rely more on theory. They are approachable and help with doubts and projects. Teaching quality varies, but overall guidance is helpful for academics and exam preparation.

Other: The fest was also very good. Campus life is enjoyable with a friendly and diverse crowd. Events, fests, and activities are organized, though not very frequently. Students can participate in clubs and sports. The environment is positive, making it easy to build friendships and enjoy college life.

I am fully satisfied with this college and many memories we have in our college.

Placements: From the 2024 batch, 30% of students are successfully placed in MNCs like Accenture, Wipro, TCS, and Amazon. The remaining students are pursuing a master's degree. We mostly received marketing companies, and only 3 or 4 IT companies. The lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA. The highest package offered is 5 LPA. The top role offered is a software developer. Companies also offer executive, sales, and other marketing roles.

Infrastructure: In our college, facilities are very good because there are labs, a library, Wi-Fi, classrooms, a medical center, a hackathon, etc. The quality of the hostel is good because we all know what a boys' hostel would be. Facilities, food, etc., are definitely very nice.

Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified and excellent. All the support was on time, and teachers always listened to students' needs and worked on them. All teachers are very friendly. They gave us all the support to make us ready. Lastly, semester exams and class exams are very good and properly managed. We are doing engineering, so there is no option to make easy questions, but it depends on us how we prepare for exams. The exam pattern and syllabus are perfect.

Placements: 90 percent of the students got placed. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The top recruiters of the college are Deloitte and Tata companies. Moreover 90 percent of the students got internships and the roles offered are skills development and presentation skills.

Infrastructure: The facilities are more than average like Wi-Fi is all over the college, sometimes slow, sometimes fast. It has high-tech, well-equipped labs and digital classrooms, but the library is average. The quality of food in the canteen is good. The college organizes sports events.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and teach their students well. They are highly cooperative and helpful. They help students with their academics and provide innovative ideas at tech events. They make the students perfectly eligible for industry jobs.

Short and simple: 100% placement is what IEM literally offers.

Placements: Students are still getting placed, about 80% students are already placed in the third year of our college. Now, till this 3rd year ends, it'll increase to 100% surely. The highest LPA (till now) is 8.9 LPA. Cognizant, TCS, SAP, Deloitte, and Intellipaat are some of the top companies that recruited. The college did not provide any internships except one from IPAC. Analyst Trainee, Business Development Associate, and Associate Analyst roles are offered.

Infrastructure: I've heard it's good, though I am not entirely sure of it yet. Wi-Fi is provided, as far as I know. Rooms are well ventilated and clean. Food is provided in a timely manner, including veg and non-veg both. Some festivals are also held in the hostel. Medical facilities are also provided.

Faculty: About 80% teachers are good, but they don't properly get the operation from the class to do so. Otherwise, they're good. The pass percentage is 60%, and the difficulty is overall a good amount, but it's basically pretty easy, as the college teachers provide proper exam notes and class notes.

Other: I had a previous interest in Computer Application, and I'm not good with math, to choose B.Tech, that's why BCA was my choice. The best things in my college would be the placement. Events, coding competitions, exposure, hackathons, debates, and more such fun activities and events are held. Every part of it is exciting and fun.

A review from the perspective of a 2nd year (4th Sem) student.

Placements: 80% of pupils are placed, and the highest package was 20 LPA, the lowest was 3.6 LPA, and the average package is 6-7 LPA. Internships have been made mandatory, and we receive internship opportunities from the college. Top roles offered are Junior Programmer, SDE 1, and AI/ML engineer.

Infrastructure: Facilities are top-notch. Free Wi-Fi, labs are nice and clean, and equipped with the latest hardware. One of the labs is the NVIDIA Center of Excellence lab, where you can learn graphic processing and Blender. Classrooms are very organized, and the faculty is very good. Some of the faculty are very friendly and helpful. Regarding hostels and the library, it is available on certain days of the week, and one can get books that are available in the library.

Faculty: The faculty is very good. Some of the faculty are very friendly and helpful. One can expect utmost help from the faculty. The subjects taught in the course are very effective and all are relevant in the working sector. Students that focus can learn a lot just by attending classes. Semester exams are not very difficult, but one should expect a decent level of questions. The pass percentage sits at around 85-90%.

Other: I chose this course after some deliberation with my Maths tuition teacher, as I can get nice jobs and follow my passion and what interests me. I would want my college to improve some of the faculty a bit and improve some of the classrooms so that we can get more hands-on experience in learning this course. Events are the best part of this college, as one can expect top-quality production to be done for every event, whether it is a whole college fest or a departmental fest. Campus surroundings are also very beautiful.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in this course is about 90%. The highest package is 7-8 LPA, the lowest is 2.5-3 LPA, and the average package is 4-4.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for this course are SAP Labs, Deloitte, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, and many more. 70% of students are for internships, and the top roles offered to them depends during their training period.

Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are extremely overwhelming and helpful. The infrastructure is quite well-maintained. Each and every classroom has its own wifi installed. The classrooms are very big. Each accomodate near about 80 students. The facilities of the hostel provided are good, but the food available isn't that good. Canteen food is good and tasty. The medical facilities provided are also quite good, and there is always a doctor present. There are sports and games room infact some of the other sports events are also taking place.

Faculty: The teachers are all helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching is extremely good. They always make sure that each and every student understands what is being taught. The course curriculum is so relevant that it absolutely makes us ready for the industry infact they are making us ready to seek placement under technical categories like B.Tech. The semester exams in college are not so difficult, though if you attend the lectures regularly, you can easily get good marks. The pass percentage is more than 99% very less fails.
