MAKAUT MBA is a two-year postgraduate programme offered by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. MAKAUT MBA Fees 2025

The fee structure of MAKAUT courses is a combination of a number of components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. Out of all the fee components, there are a few components that are charged one-time. Q: How many courses are offered by MAKAUT?

MAKAUT offers approximately over 80 UG, PG Diploma doctoral and Certificate courses across its seven schools and more than 100 UG and PG programmes via 196 affiliated colleges. All these programmes are offered in numerous streams, I. e. Engineering, Management, Science and Software & IT, among others. Additionally, for undergraduate programmes candidates need to pass Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate.

MAKAUT MBA course admission are done based on scores in JEMAT examination. Students interested in seeking admission to the MBA course are required to apply via JEMAT conducted by MAKAUT. Following is a step by step guide for MAKAUT admissions:

STEP 1: MAKAUT MBA Application Process 2025

Visit the official website of JEMAT and click on 'Apply Online for JEMAT'.
Register by adding the required details, such as name, contact details and a valid email id
Check for the registration number received via SMS/email
Login and fill out the application form
Pay the application fee and submit the form

MAKAUT MBA application fee 2025 for the JEMAT exam conducted by MAKAUT is as follows:

STEP 4: Document Verification and Fee Payment

Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty members and placement.

Placements: Only 30 percent of students were placed. And all the placements were in marketing only 1 or 2 percent got the chance in finance. At the time of admission they said that Big 4 came to their college, but they didn't come. For placement, only 10 percent of students got placement from the college.

Infrastructure: The amount was so high, but the facilities were very low. The canteen food was very poor. You can't eat that on a daily basis. The private PG was a much better option than this. It's also not so close to the college. I will never recommend the college hostel.

Faculty: Faculty members were not good they did favouritism. Some teachers were also not good in their core subject. They just provided the printed notes. They couldn't help you prepare for the placement or interview. The mentor was also not good enough.

For me, it is the best college for an MBA in Kolkata, with great faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: Currently, placements have not started for our batch yet. But according to our seniors, the placement percentage is around 80%. The highest package is around 12 LPA, the average is 6–7 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Genpact, ITC, RSM, and various banks.

Infrastructure: For our course, facilities are good. Almost everything is available inside and outside the campus. There is AC in every classroom, Wi-Fi is available, and classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart boards. A huge library is also available. The infrastructure is good overall. Hostels are within walking distance. There is a canteen on top of the building that provides only vegetarian food. The food quality is good, tasty, and hygienic. The medical department is very active. A small ground is available for football and cricket.

Faculty: In my opinion, faculty here is one of the best I have seen. They are very helpful, knowledgeable, and guide students properly. They can also be friendly. They teach very well and complete the syllabus on time. This course curriculum is very relevant and makes students industry-ready. The college conducts many activities like public speaking, presentations, project work, teamwork, and also pushes students for internships. Semester exams are somewhat difficult for me. There are many subjects in each semester.

Other: As I am a commerce student and have completed my graduation in B.Com (Hons). I chose an MBA in Finance to build a career in the finance and accounts domain. I feel no major improvements are required, as everything is already good. Many fests and events take place. The crowd is good, and scholarships like SVMCM are also available.

MBA is a full roller coaster ride for me with lots of ups and downs, and many other things.

Placements: 90 percent of students got placed. The highest package of our college is 15 LPA and the average is 8 LPA. Recruiting companies are Amul, EY, PwC, and MakeMyTrip. Almost 90 percent of students get an internship. Roles offered are bank manager, team lead, and financial supervisor. It has been an incredible two years for me, which have passed so fast that.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not likely attractive but the facilities are amazing. There is free Wi-Fi, smart boards, and a big library. The quality of the hostel is amazing, strict but it's safer and feels like home. Great learning and skills I have gained from this.

Faculty: The teaching quality is so good. Every teacher is satisfied and more knowledgeable. Many industrial visits happen once a year. There is a study abroad program that is held in Singapore. The semester exam is not really tough all are good and the pass percentage is 100 percent.

Other: I chose MBA to explore the world know everything about it, to get out of my comfort zone, and the best thing about my course is exposure to the real world, how it works, and all. I wish to improve something in my college for MBA, it is not much but it takes a minimum number of students. Events are very amazing, energetic, and full of refreshment after all the roller coaster semester.

Placements: Regarding placement, 80% of the students have been placed to date. The highest package is 16 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA, with an average package of 6 LPA. Top-tier companies like ITC, Arvind Fashion, Exide, and Pilgrim come during the placement drive. They also offer internship programmes with huge exposure as part of the curriculum.

Infrastructure: There are spacious air-conditioned classrooms with digital boards and well-equipped labs in addition to a good library to support every step of learning. Also, there are 3 building campuses for different courses. They also provide a good canteen and medical support to the students.

Faculty: The highly qualified professors from each and every department are leading and inspiring us on the path of success. Every impact and learning makes the students ready for the industry for a better career. The semester exams are also conducted efficiently with a good evaluation of the students.

Other: For a better career, I have chosen an MBA. But, it is the prerequisites for entering the corporate world with knowledge.

It is the best college for a marketing major in Kolkata.

Placements: Nearly 98 percent of students get placed in reputed firms, and due to some dropouts and external opportunities, the percentage did not meet 100 percent. For the marketing field, the college is ideal, but it doesn't mean finance or HR fields are not up to the mark. It offers 2 internships that other colleges cannot offer us.

Infrastructure: We have 3 practical labs. Each classroom is spacious and centrally air-conditioned. I am a bit doubtful about Wi-Fi. We have sports events for football, cricket, and indoor games. The common room is the best place for hanging out with friends (surely in the off period).

Faculty: Faculty members are really awesome. Majorly, all of them focus on the practical knowledge, which is not common in other B Schools. GD PI classes occur at least 3 times a week. Before placements, the assigned mentor gives us the last-minute tips that actually work.

Other: Our fest is like a festival. Many entrepreneurs and big personalities share their experiences with us to motivate us. Besides, the knowledge of corporate, they teach us how to become useful to the nation.

It has good faculty, good placements, and good infrastructure.

Placements: Almost 90 percent of students get placed. The highest package sometimes varies, and it totally depends on student's performance. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3.5 LPA. The average package offered is 5.5 LPA. Many companies like ITC, Reliance, Nestled, etc., and other big 5 companies like Deloitte, PWC, etc., hire students from the college. Almost 99 percent of students got internships from the MBA course in companies like ITC, Reliance, Bata, Kelvin Kelin, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. Top roles offered in my course are marketing manager, brand manager, business development manager, financial analyst, investment banker, etc.

Infrastructure: The quality of facilities in the hostel is very good. The food quality is average. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors, audio-visual systems, and smart boards. The institute has well-equipped computer laboratories with more than 350 computers connected through broadband internet and LAN network. The college also has an advanced capital market lab with around 65 terminals, where students learn stock market analysis and trading strategies. The library is well-stocked with over 52,000 books and more than 2,600 national and international journals.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They all are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very much appreciated. Semester exams in this college are not too difficult, and they are average. The pass percentage is 99 percent. The college also conducts industrial visits to reputed industries.

Other: I chose an MBA course to develop strong business, leadership, and analytical skills. The best thing about an MBA is that it develops leadership, business knowledge, and professional networking opportunities. There is a scholarship facility. Many events are organised in the college.
