Goated campus MAHE. Decent option, DOC.

Placements: I have no idea about the exact percentage of students who were placed. But I have heard seniors say that almost 80% of students in the Department of Commerce get placed. The highest package I know of is 18 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA, with the average being around 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies at the Department of Commerce include Deloitte, McKinsey, and EY. Internship opportunities are okay. They mainly offer internships only in Bangalore at good companies like Amazon, EY, etc. However, outside Bangalore, students have to find internships on their own. The top roles offered are probably Junior Analyst, Junior Manager, and other entry-level roles.

Infrastructure: The DOC building near Block 9 of the MIT campus is a bit old, but structurally it is sound. Each floor has washrooms for men and women, although cleanliness is average. Classrooms are smart and air-conditioned. There is a basketball court just outside the building and a cricket ground-cum-running track beside it. Hostels are among the better ones throughout India. It provides proper cleaning every alternate day, western toilets, options for AC or non-AC rooms, and free Wi-Fi (iBus) with an average speed of 10–20 Mbps.

Faculty: Teaching is average. There are some good facilities, but most teachers just teach from the books, which makes the learning process quite boring. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, but I doubt whether it is practical enough to make students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite easy for me, at least, since I was a Science student and achieved a 9+ CGPA.

Other: I switched from the Science stream, and the best option for BBA was MAHE. It has its own brand name, and I could eventually enroll in TAPMI for an MBA. It offers more industry-specific courses and better teaching methods by some faculty members. MAHE hosts many events, but DOC in particular hosts two major events, namely Concendo and Convergence. Both are okay, although I have never attended them.
