Huge campus, rude faculty, average placements.

Placements: Well, as I am in first year, I actually don't know much about placement. All I heard is that the highest package is somewhere about 54 LPA and it is off-campus placement. From seniors, we have heard that placement rates are pretty average. If you are trying to join this college on the basis of only placement, I recommend you choose some other college.

Infrastructure: Well, in the starting phase, every first-year student lives under restrictions for three months, which means you cannot go outside on your own. Each student has to form a line, go to class, and return to the hostel after class, that’s all. It is very irritating. The food is pretty decent, so you can manage. We get a good variety with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The campus is huge, with a sports ground, multiple departmental buildings, a library, Wi-Fi across the campus, and medical facilities.

Faculty: Well, professors are awesome and speak politely, but the lab in-charges are very rude. They don’t respect students, and as a first-year, any lab assistant is usually impolite, often in a bad mood, and doesn’t teach or correct you. The syllabus is hard to describe for a newcomer. Exams are not very hard. I scored very well in semester one by studying only a few days.

Other: It feels like a government college, and the fees are quite high. Without a scholarship, it can be expensive for a middle-class family. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering. I chose this because it was the best option available for my rank. There aren’t many places to explore in Gorakhpur city. You cannot go outside campus during the first 3–4 months of restriction. After that, each society organizes different events. So there are many events happening on campus.

Review of Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology.

Placements: Around 85 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 60 LPA, and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Top recruiters are Google, Accenture, and TCS.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very poor, only the main auditorium is well maintained. Otherwise main academic building and hostel all are not that much good.

Faculty: Faculty just come and teach what they have written in their notes, no explanation nothing. The curriculum is quite old and should be changed surely in the upcoming years. 3 SGPA is the passing criteria. There is also a branch change option in our college. You need to have 8 CGPA, and no backlog in 1st year for branch upgradation.

Other: I want to pursue tech related course so B.Tech should be one of the best options. The infrastructure is quite nominal so it can be improved. When talking about fest and event, we have Abyudya, Roboverse, and many more.

Good university and value for money.

Placements: Best technical university in Gorakhpur. Placements are high. The highest package is 52 LPA, and the lowest package is minimum 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: It is a good university. Our campus is beautiful. All the buildings are good and well-furnished. Toilets are clean and usable. For students, very good security is available. All the required facilities like lab, placement cell, and other facilities are easily available. It has good canteen near it, and they serve good food. Good facilities are provided by university. It has an affordable fee for all students. Our campus has very good environment in the morning and evening.

Faculty: Exam pattern is good and questions are neither hard nor easy. Course syllabus is completed by faculty, and all teachers are given time to help students cover and revise the syllabus on time. Teachers help students to love problems. All is good here.

Placements: Placements for core branches like mechanical and civil are average, but for CS/IT branches; they are much better. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Wipro visit the campus. Students also crack off-campus opportunities and GATE exams. The placement cell is supportive but students need to be proactive.

Infrastructure: The campus is clean and green with good facilities like Wi-Fi, central library, workshops and separate hostels for boys and girls. New smart classrooms and labs are being developed. Still, some buildings need renovation and better maintenance.

Faculty: Most professors are knowledgeable and cooperative. Many hold PhDs and have years of teaching experience. While some classes can be a bit theoretical, those who are curious can learn a lot from the faculty. So faculty members are supportive and helpful.

Other: My college life at MMMUT has been a mix of academic learning, personal growth and career development. It's a state government university with a strong reputation in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The atmosphere here encourages discipline and over time, you grow not just as a student but as a responsible individual.

Good for locals. But 75% attendance is mandatory to sit in exams in mechanical.

Placements: The highest package (off-campus) is 52 LPA in CSE. The average salary is 6 LPA for mechanical. Companies like Tata Motors, L&T, ABG, and Torrent Gas recruit from here. Almost everyone has internships and many in IITs and other research organisations. Professors help students in getting their internships.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and library are available. Digital library is also provided. It is open for all 7 days. Although systems are limited. Labs under mechanical engineering are functional. Quality of food is good enough to eat, and hostel rooms are quite old. Sports and games are organised every year. The environment is good.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified but not all are helpful. Teaching depends on the professors. Course curriculum is not relevant during 2023-27 session. Now it has improved. Semester exams can be passed easily if you are interested in the subject. Questions are quite predictable.
