Yes, NIT Rourkela offers equal opportunity to students to apply for the scholarships. Some of the scholarships provided by the university are PMS (Post-Matric Scholarships) (for SC-ST students) given by Orissa Government, Indian Oil Scholarships, and others. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. The total tuition fee for MSc courses is INR 30,000 and INR 75,000 for the BSc + MSc integrated courses. Apart from this, the total course fee includes other components such as hostel fee, admission fee, caution money and institute emergency fund as well. Earlier, NIT Rourkela concluded the placements for the batch passed out in 2023.
