NIT Rourkela BTech cutoff 2022 has been concluded for DASA UG, followed by Direct Admission of Students Abroad counselling. DASA UG counselling was concluded after Round 3 of the seat allotment results for various categories. During the Round 1 cutoff, the NIT Rourkela cutoff ranged between 260 and 938 for the General AI category quota students. National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, Doctoral, Executive PhD and other courses to students. In addition to the academic support, NIT Rourkela promotes extra-curricular activities to ensure all-round development of personality. The Student Activity Centre (SAC) is the central hub for student activities, student organizations, programming, events, sports, recreation and fun at the institute campus. The Student Activity Centre is organised into four primary societies and a host of satellite clubs.
NIT Rourkela is a government funded national-level institution managed by the Board of Governors of the National Institute of Technology (Rourkela) Society. The Institute offers courses accredited by NBA and is ranked 67 by the QS Southern Asia University Ranking 2024.

- Top Class Scholarship: Among the admitted students in the first year top 12 SC students and top 5 ST students are eligible for the scholarship by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GOI and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GOI provided their parental annual income is below INR 4.5 lakh.
- GATE Scholarship: Students who have taken admission through GATE are eligible for a scholarship of INR 8,000 per month.
- PhD scholarship: A PhD student with MTech/ MPharm degree and within the age limit is eligible for an Institute research fellowship for four years. The students will get INR 31,000 per month for the first two years and INR 35,000 per month for the next two years on satisfactory performance.
