Placements: In my M.Sc. Batch, everyone who applied got placed, but many students prefer to go for PhDs. A 2-month internship is mandatory, so all students get internships in companies or IITs. There are things to be considered before you take this course in college.
Placements: Placements are outstanding. 90% students are placed through the campus interview. Most students choose to be professors in colleges like any engineering colleges in Odisha or other states. Ambani is like Amazon Samsung Flipkart etc. Visited the campus during the campus interview. The average salary given was 6LPA.
Placements: Every year more than 90 percent of students got placed in top companies of India. My college offered to them was 12 LPA to 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies in India hired my college students. The percentage of students got internships from my course in companies like Amazon and Ola was more than 60 percent.
Placements: Well, I'm from the mining department, and to be honest, among all NITs and IITs, NIT Rourkela offered the best facility and placement for mining engineering, due to the available mines in Odisha. 98% of our seniors got placed in various companies like Coal India, Hindustan Petroleum and other mining industries. Placements: About 80% students got placed. The highest package was 62.44 Lacs per annum, the lowest package was not available, while the average package was 14.10 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are. Texas Instruments, Bharat Petroleum, JSW, ExxonMobil. Amazon, etc. Almost every eligible student received internship opportunities. Top roles offered are hardware engineers, analogue and digital design engineers and power system engineers.
Placements: About 85% of students got placed. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 3.9 LPA, and the average package is 9.3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Mahindra, and BHEL. Top roles offered include Hardware Engineer, Graduate Training Engineer, and roles related to Mechanical Engineering in the manufacturing sector.

The closing rank for general category in M.Sc Chemistry was around 787.
You rank is actually very close to the cutoff.
You may receive a seat in 2nd round or 3rd round as it might change across the rounds when seats freed.

The rankings of IIT Bhubaneswar and NIT Rourkela are different. NIT Rourkela is ranked 16th in the engineering college and IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked 47th according to NIRF ranking. and NIT Rourkella come among top 50 college in the country while IIT Bhubneshawar come among 20 indias top engineering
