RMLNLU Lucknow admissions 2025 are entrance-based. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU or NLU), Lucknow offers a range of courses in the field of Law, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The university also extends PhD in various disciplines of Humanities. The mode of application submission for all the courses at RMLNLU is online. NLU Lucknow admission to its flagship Law courses is done via CLAT.
The university considers the score of the last year's CLAT exam for the current year's admission. As for B.A. LLB and LLM admission, candidates will be offered admission based on CLAT scores. RMLNLU Lucknow Seat Reservation 2025
Seat reservation is provided to students from Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, and Other Backward Classes of the State of Uttar Pradesh. For other categories will be applicable as per the rules of the U.P. State Government. Horizontal reservation applies to Persons with Disability(PwD) and dependents of freedom fighters (Defense personnel).

Steps for RMLNLU Lucknow Admission Process 2025
The NLU Lucknow admission 2024 is a three-step process starting with the RMLNLU application process, followed by shortlisting candidates based on their performance in the entrance exam and making final admission offers. Admission to both UG & PG at NLU Lucknow is done through a valid CLAT score. For PhD courses, candidates are shortlisted via the university's in-house entrance exam. RMLNLU Lucknow B.A.LLB Admission 2025
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University offers a full-time B.A. cLLB (Hons) programme. The duration of this course is five years. Candidates looking forward to practising law in India, are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India.

The eligibility criteria for the BA LLB Hons course at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (NLU Lucknow) are as follows :
- There is no upper age limit for the undergraduate programme in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
- Candidates must have secured 45% marks or its equivalent grade in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination) if they belong to the General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories.
- Candidates must have secured 40% marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination) if they belong to the SC/ST categories.
- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April are also eligible to appear in the CLAT examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
- The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
The admission to the BA LLB Hons course for the academic year 2024 is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which was conducted on 2 Dec ’23 .

Out of the 2024 batch at RMLNLU, 24 students were placed successfully. In the placements, 14 students each got placed in law firms, while 4 went to corporate organizations. Further, 10 students got placed in the lawyers' chambers. The average package offered in the 2024 placements was INR 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, EY, and Bharucha & Partners. However, no data is available on the number of students placed for the LLM programme in the year 2024 in RMLNLU.
The applicants are systematically admitted to the LLM programme at RMLNLU. Candidates have to first register and apply for the CLAT PG, which is the requisite test that allows them entry into the institution. After the declaration of the result for CLAT PG, candidates shall look for a cut-off list released by RMLNLU. Candidates who will meet the cut-off shall be considered for counselling. Upon selection, candidates have to complete the formalities related to admission and deposit the prescribed fee.
The tuition fee for the LLM course at Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University has been kept at INR 35,000. An additional amount of INR 20,000 is charged as a one-time admission and caution deposit. Therefore, the total fee that candidates are required to pay to pursue the entire LLM course is INR 55,000. Those who want an upgrade will be required to pay a confirmation fee to secure their seat at the institution.
The CLAT 2025 admission process, which is completely online, will be concluded after 5 rounds. The process included registration, merit list result and then the seat allotment process according to candidates' preferences. Candidates have the choice to either accept, upgrade or exit from their assigned seat at any counselling rounds. Yes, scholarships to the candidates of SC/ ST/ OBC of Uttar Pradesh and also to the students of unreserved categories having family income less than INR 2 lakh annually are provided under various schemes of Govt. of UP.
NLU Lucknow also provides the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC/ST Students. Under this scheme, five eligible students of the SC/ST category are provided scholarships which include reimbursement of full tuition fee, living expenses of INR 2,220 per month, books & stationery of INR 3,000- per year and computer/accessories up to INR 45,000 per year per student.
Continuous evaluation and interactive sessions are included for further enrichment of the learning of LLM students at RMLNLU. The LLM course at RMNLU is offered in full-time mode and the mode of instruction is offline. Candidates must appear for the CLAT exam to take admission in the course.

As per 2024 cutoff data, it looks like you can make it to RMLNLU. With OBC rank of 1721 you can get into RMLNLU.

To get the RMLNLU requires a strong score on the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test). Scoring around 70-75 in mocks can be a good starting point, being a OBC candidate, since some NLUs have reserved seats for OBC categories, which increases your chances to get the college for that reserved seat.
