NEHU- A central university of northeast India with heavenly natural beauty.
Placements: The B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA departments have gotten placements from various companies with an average of 6 lacs and more per annum package. But don't worry, other departments will get internships. The professors here are truly very professional and will help you to become good human capital.
Infrastructure: Of course, there are labs, Wi-Fi facilities, and a central library with a three-floor building, which is the largest university library in northeast India, as it is a central library. The campus is covered with heavenly natural beauty, with a lake, a waterfall, and a mini forest.
Faculty: As we all know, central universities are best for studies, but we get fewer marks compared to state universities. The professors here are helpful and very professional, with good knowledge. They are very updated with their courses and encourage you to study well.
Other: As an economics student, I can apply for M.Com, M.A., and M.Sc. also, as economics is a field that is studied in arts, science, and commerce.

My review of this college.
Placements: Almost 100% placement was provided for those who were eligible over years. The placement process took place for internships as well. Companies that visited the campus were mostly MNCs such as JPMorgan, Nomura, Walmart, Citibank, P and G, etc. The highest package was around 28 LPA, and the minimum was around 10 LPA. The average package was around 13–14 LPA. The stipend for internships ranged from Rs. 10,000 to 1,20,000, depending on the company. The Department of Economics ensured that students were well placed in both internships and final placements. The average stipend was around Rs. 5,000.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure and facilities were value for money and best in class. The hostel fee was as low as Rs. 150 per month. We had unlimited access to Wi-Fi in the hostel, 24/7 hot water for showers, and purified drinking water. The hostel rooms were on a triple-sharing basis.
Faculty: Faculty members were super awesome and very much dedicated. Some of teachers made us fall in love with subjects they taught. They were perfectly trained in their respective fields and did their job really well. It was an awesome college in terms of faculty members. The Principal was friendly, as was his assistant. Faculty members in the offices, including clerks and others, were very helpful. Exams were very strict. We had two to three exams a year, and questions were set from every nook and corner of the syllabus. One needed to prepare thoroughly for the challenging exams.
Other: I wanted to pursue my Master's at a central university, which is why I chose to study at this university, as it was nearby my hometown and also affordable for me. I pursued a Master's in Economics, and the curriculum prepared me well.

Placement and faculty are good, I am happy with it.
Placements: The placement facility was very good in our North-Eastern Hill University. 70% of students get placed from our department. Many companies came for placements. Salary packages start from 2 LPA and the highest salary package is 6 LPA. The college provides us with research facilities. Some students get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is good but the latest facilities are not available. An internet facility is available, but the internet speed is very low. Boys' hostel and girls' hostels are both available near our university. The food in the college canteen is good. The atmosphere is good.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good because all teachers are very experienced. All faculty members are very experienced, but the faculty members are very limited. The relationship between teachers and students is very respectful. Our teachers teach very well. We get class notes and suggestions that help us in our semesters.

Campus life in NEHU, Shillong.
Placements: No placements are provided in my department till now to the seniors as well as us juniors also, some departments like B.Teach and MBA students got some internships and job offers but other departments didn't get any offer from any company. Companies don't visit the university .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There are Wi-Fi facilities in the whole NEHU campus, large classrooms, and labs. There is a large library building also with 3 floors which contains various books, journals, magazines and newspapers also. There are many cafes and canteens around the campus.
Faculty: My course is very good. Teachers are highly qualified. They are from different states, but they like communicating with students very much. As everyone knows, at Central University, it's hard to get a good score; we have to work harder to secure 60%.
Other: The campus is very large and beautiful so you won't feel bored here.

Candidates are selected based on marks obtained in bachelor degree and performance in entrance test. Selection parameters and weightages: 50% marks assigned to qualifying academic result. 50% marks assigned to entrance test.
